Nothing really.

Location, only 5-7 minute walk from bus station and less from train. Close to old town centre and easy walking to some of the sights. Bed comfy, kitchen met needs but not big. Nice and clean and staff friendly. Do yourself a favour and come, beautiful buildings from older days and not spoiled yet by tourist buses, cruise ships and every second store selling souvenirs. 24-36 hours here is worth it.

A little noisy surrondings with a lot of traffic on the street outside. Not so fresh building.

Impossible to drop your bags off before the late check-in time (17:00), because no staff will be present. It is a small apartment in which every room is rented out. It is located in a gloomy building next to a busy street. Sadly, there is no hostel atmosphere whatsoever, it is just a place where many people sleep. The lockers are small, no bag will ever fit inside.

Friendly staff. Easy to reach from bus or train station, supermarkets are close by.

Being a hostel, the other guests felt it’s normal to be noisy at 1 AM. The building is a bit run down and there is a teribble smell in the toilet. My shower door was broken, but managed to shower . I cut my arm quite badly on the bathroom tiles and was surprised the property had no emergency medical supplies to stop the bleeding. I had to run to the closest pharmacy to get something.

The location is really good. Close to the main bus and train station. The owner was nice and welcoming and very patient with each guest.

The bathroom is a bit small but manageable. The shower could really use a place to hold the shower head as it was hard to wash my hair without it and the drain clogs easily.

I loved the location (just outside the city center), the kitchen, and the kindness of the owner - they are super helpful with anything you need during your stay and give great recommendations!

The building where is the hostel doesn’t look so good, but when you got in the hostel area, gets better

I just stayed for 1 night, arrive at 22:00 and left at 8:00 am, so I didn’t use so much the hostel, but everything was good, the staff was attentive

Hostel is 2 flights up and stairwell is a bit off putting initially. Reliant on others to always lock front door (but able to keep own room locked anyway)

Good location near railway station and within walking distance of town and port. Own bathroom with nice strong shower. Small hostel, quiet. Use of kitchen with cooker, fridge etc was useful. Host was welcoming and friendly, gave helpful tips and was relaxed about checkout time. Comfortable room with small balcony. Thank you for the pancakes!

There wasn't a toilet outside the rooms, we need to wait all the time till the owner came to make the check-in because must be at a exact time and if you arrive earlier or later, you need to wait in the building corridor to him to come. At the time to leave your luggage, was like a bit unsafe because nobody could take care of it. It's ok the place for price, but very tiny everything.

It is a very tiny place, it's noisy outside if you have the windows open, the air get's bad if you close the windows with a lot of people in the room. The bathroom is super tiny and has no place to put your changing clothes or towel while under the shower.

Very nice owner. central location close to city centre, train and bus Station. All in all okayish for a Night or two if you need accomodation but not really a place you want to spend your holiday.

My review rates "Hostel Kvarner" as "Pleasant." It's my opinion based on one night here and judged against many hostel stays around the world, including most recently in Zagreb. My comments prompted the owner to immediately send me a private message describing me as "malicious." Wow! From experience in other hostels, the dorm room for 6 would fit 4 comfortably. I had no issue with the sofa in the kitchen. However, it takes considerable space and it's not shown in the published photo.

The parking is very hit and miss, the property is on a corner of a busy road so you need to park before you can go in?? The rooms are basic The mattresses are very thin The bedding and towels are worn The shutters on the windows don't the light and the windows don't block the noise of a busy road The rooms are 3 floors up, if you don't like stairs .... unlucky lol The bathroom in our room (which had 6 beds in) was very very small, you sit on the toilet sideways!!
