How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Love the proximity to restaurants, cafes and supermarkets and produce market. Clean and comfortable, was well stocked and we really enjoyed our time there. We were fortunate to get free parking under the apartment each day but the street is busy for cars. Main tourist area is literally an easy downhill walk. Coming back up there is a slight incline and stairs at the end which we easily managed carrying our toddler.

No aircon in bedroom. Lots of steps if you have heavy luggage - but manageable !

There was so hot weather and I think the air condition did not got to the bedroom so well, but we made it.
The host was amazing, so friendly and she was taking so good care of our needs!! I definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting in Bol. The view was also amazing and the apartment was clean and very good location, just few minutes from the center.

We had a lovely stay in Villa Marina! The room was clean, cozy and had everything we needed for the stay, plus the view from the balcony was just amazing. Also, the communication with the host and the check in & out was effortless.

The property is on a big hill. It was fine for us but if you’ve any mobility problems I wouldn’t recommend it
The view was absolutely stunning, the apartment had everything you’d need. So handy to have the washing machine too. The beds were super comfy.

On that note, the only downside of my experience were very noisy families with children. Other than that, it was an excellent choice.
I absolutely loved my stay in Vila Marina! Beautiful view, comfortable facilities, good location and friendly staff. I would recommend it to couples, families and solo travellers alike.

good location, close to the beaches around the monastery (amazing beaches!!), supermarket and restaurants were close to the property, the room had everything we needed (small fridge, cutlery, dishes, etc) very well kept/maintained, very well cleaned. Marin was very kind and explained everything to my husband

Would throughly recommend this apartment if you are staying in Bol. Fantastic host who did everything possible to make us feel welcome, and clean, comfortable apartment with an amazing view, and only a few minutes away from all that Bol has to offer.

This apartment was ideal for our stay. Within walking distance from the port where there are lovely restaurants and bars. Marin and his mother were so helpful and welcoming to us. Wish we could have stayed for longer!

The host was outside with the keys when we arrived and showed us to our room. He had a bottle of champagne for us for our honeymoon which was lovely. The rooms are a good size with everything we needed including toaster, kettle, microwave and hob. A biggish balcony which had a lovely view of the water towards Hvar. There was extra towels, toilet paper and an iron in the cupboards in the hall which was great as we didn't need to keeping asking the host for these things which normally you would have to elsewhere. Spare duvet in the cupboards. Responsive and helpful via messenger.
