Not a walkable area.

The staff, by far was the star here. Kind, helpful and attentive. And while the area wasn’t exactly walkable, the hotel car was always available to take you where you needed to go. Our room was huge with Amazing air conditioning. Bed was comfortable.

Although we had the pleasure to meet one nice receptionist and one nice waiter, the rest of the staff was kind of cold and not as helpful as expected in this class of hotels.

The hotel is clean, well decorated and confortable. Rooms are spacious and well-furnished.

The rooms were very basic and the view was disappointing, and very noisy.

A trainee receptionist forgot to add all my bills together and I had to go back after I checked out to pay the balance that was owing.

The new rooms are really nice and on point.

As mentioned before everything was good.

It was good, extremely welcoming staff from Keisha at front desk, dining room attendants and Romel the taxi driver. We were very satisfied.

The main cons were, we were initially in the rooms upstairs. Although looks lovely, those stairs are not the most easy to climb or come down. So after a couple of days, we asked to be moved downstairs- we did and the rooms were lovely. The downside was that there is no fridge in the rooms downstairs. The other con was the noise in the early hours of the morning. Being close to the street you can hear the cars constantly beeping or playing loud music. Also the hotel had lots of banging and clanging in the hallway from 5am most mornings.

Just returned back to the UK from a lovely 2 week stay in the GCH. The hotel is very nice & the food & drinks overall was great. The portions was very big ,at times too big so it was great that the hotel offers a takeaway box. However with no fridge or microwave in the room, typically we declined this. Other pros were the amazing waiting staff. Every single one was great but especially Charlene, Cheryl & Kelly- all 3 ladies consistently went the extra mile every time they served us. They were very friendly & informative too. Maria, David & Blair were also friendly too. We also had a friendly & helpful taxi driver Romel. I would definitely ask for him to pick us up next time. On the subject of Taxis- when booking an airport pickup- double check they are sending the right car size. We were a group of 4 with 4 luggage + hand luggage but the hotel sent us regular car which was a tight squeeze on the journey in but was corrected for the journey home.

The hotel didn’t feature a gym or an elevator. The rooms at the front of the hotel are prone to loud noise due to being next to the road.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly: Romel, Kesha and Tanisha made sure all my needs were met. The tropical aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful and it was very clean.

My night lamp wasn't working , the stuff placed in the room to make tea like the cream was not good , the view from my room was terrible hated looking out to see an unkept building next door

The front receptionist at the front desk was very unfriendly person and no sense of urgency!!! Seems like she didn't even want to be there woking. As someone who was supposed to be welcoming guests, she was people skills.!!!

The people in the reception Mark, Tinisha, Keshia and Althes were very nice and helpfull. All the servants in the restaurant were also very nice.

An Elevator lift to take luggage to the second level of the building

Breakfast alone should be included with the overall accommodation.. just like any other countries “bed and breakfast “

Hotel is next to a busy stretch of road. But that is the nature of Georgetown.

Menu for all meals was excellent, a mixture of local and international dishes. There was an excellent buffet with a Guyanese theme that displayed many of the local cuisines. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was excellent, great service, with relaxing feeling. Walking distance to supermarket and local eateries.

the noise around the property, unfortunately I couldn’t sleep because of it. the driver assigned to pick me up from the airport was driving recklessly.

the room was pretty huge. the staff was friendly, the room was clean.
