Our recent four-night stay at this delightful hotel was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we checked in, we were enveloped in warmth and elegance. The rooms were a visual feast, adorned with gorgeous artwork that extended even to the common areas, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The hotel’s commitment to cleanliness and service was evident throughout our stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and eager to assist, enhancing our experience with their helpfulness and smiles. Additionally, the laundry service was efficient and convenient, which was much appreciated during our extended stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful garden area, a serene oasis perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hotel also impressed us with thoughtful touches like bedside chargers, complimentary ear plugs, and delightful treats that made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Further adding to the convenience were the additional services offered by the hotel, such as organized tours and shuttle arrangements. These services were seamlessly handled by the staff, making our travel plans effortless. The location of the hotel was ideal, boasting a fantastic sky bar with stunning views, which became our favorite spot to unwind in the evenings. Gustavo, the owner, was a gem of a host—kind, gracious, and always ready to help. His attention to detail and dedication to hospitality deeply enriched our stay. The rooms were well-equipped with essentials such as towels, a safe, two fans, and a hair dryer. The combination lock for the room was a clever touch, providing ease and security for group or family travelers.

The main downside for me was no air conditioning in the room. I heard this was typical in Guatamala, though. I had a fan, which helped keep me cool.

I loved my stay here! I felt completely safe as a woman traveling alone. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They have a nice garden so you can sit outside and drink a beer. The staff is very friendly and always makes sure you have everything you need.

There is a fantastic little sky bar on the roof, ideal to watch the sunset and lots of cool bars and restaurants in the immediate area.

I was there in an unseasonably warm period, and although one generally cannot expect air conditioning in accommodations in Antigua, the room ventilation could have been better.

The owner (a very proficient English speaker) and staff (@75% spoke English) treated me like family. It's as good as it gets!

The owner and staff at Hotel y Arte were extremely helpful. Within minutes of making the reservation, he reached out with information. He was quite accessible and responsive to my questions and I was also able to make arrangements for transportation to other places as well as tour(s). The hotel is within walking distance of everything - restaurants, parks and major sites. It falls within a multi-use building, with a cafe at the top floor. Hotel y Arte will be appealing should you like art as it can be found all over the space, which is quite lovely. They also provide a great breakfast if you decide to add on that option.

It’s very pretty and not in a busy part of the city. Everything is within walking distance but not the hotel is not in the city center so it’s quieter at night. Owner was very helpful in booking tours and shuttles and is very attentive to guests.

There is no real windows in the rooms (windows face the hotel hallway so the airflow can be difficult and it got quite warm in the room). It was a bit expensive due to us visiting during Semana Santa but regular prices is great value for money.

Location was great - easy to walk everywhere in town. It felt safe and the easy access to the Cafe Sky above was lovely. Decor was simple but pleasant! We enjoyed the Tv/Netflix access in the room to rest after our big hikes!!

A beautiful hotel that felt very clean. All the rooms are uniquely painted, of good size and are well thought out (hooks, shelves, bedside lamps). This was one of my favorite stays in Guatemala. I would definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike: just good to know for visitors perhaps that water is for sale rather than complimentary.

Before we even arrived Gustavo was extremely helpful in providing information we needed. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was good value. There’s a great garden which unfortunately we didn’t have chance to use as we were so busy.
