How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing that was a bit bothering is in the 14 bed dormitory when a person was moving in the upper bed, all surrounding beds were also shaking together with a squeaky noise. Other than that it's a great place:)
I really enjoyed the helpfulness of everyone who worked there and definitely the breakfast - delicious pancakes with fresh fruits. My bed had a lamp and a small fan next to. The shower was very close, with a hanger inside and basic cosmetics. You could also enjoy sitting on the terrace or by the reception. The venue is really nice. It's also very close to the airport using taxi.

The dorm rooms I stayed in were the outside building and didn’t have much ventilation or natural light. But it’s fine for one night.
This is my third time here and I always return bc it’s great value for money, close to the airport and in a safe neighbourhood. The breakfast was great… fluffy pancakes and lots of fruits

The showers where to narrow as a standard European guy.
Easy way into the city center and walkable. Also not to far from airport. Breakfast.

It took a little longer than I would have liked to get back to me about an enquiry.
I actually didn’t get to stay there because I missed my flight and arrived at 4.30am, however the chap on duty let me in, offered use of the shower and wi-fi until my shuttle picked me up at 6.30am. Everything was clean and well organised.

Friendly and helpful staff, my flight was delayed but they waited up for me until I arrived just before 1am. Beds are comfy and good value. The area is safe and fairly upmarket.

Bad breakfast. Pancakes and syrup. The private room was dark with no view for windows. No hang out area.
Nice staff. Location near an outdoor mall. Felt safe.

One of the showers had a sharp floor piece. Wear shoes.
The location is near both a fancy mall but also near normal Guatemalan city areas with both "American" and local food options. Location is easy to find and walk around, grocery store in the mall is super handy. Also near a nice strip club if that is your thing. 30-40 min walk to downtown straight shot. Very handy.

Staff extremely helpful. Location very good. The set up of the bunk beds for privacy was excellent - not seen those sort of cubicles before. The breakfast was great . Lockers for storage

Super friendly staff, great location, easy to get from the bus station and to the airport. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. They serve a great breakfast of pancakes and fruit and coffee.

Place was super clean, staff were really nice, the dorm beds were extremely comfortable and spacious! Christhiam was extremely helpful and communicative in organising a late check out, will definitely be back.

I don't eat too much carbs and the breakfast was only pancakes & fruits, coffee or tea. I really wished they have included some eggs or the traditional Guatemalan breakfast...

They lock the front door after a certain time and there's no staff. So, if like me, you go out dancing you have to buzz over and over until hopefully another guest let's you in. Was not advised of this at check in. If you plan on being out after 9pm, don't book here.

A little noisy at night sometimes from other visitors but it wasn’t a problem & never went on too late. That’s the only thing I can think of.
Very clean. Felt very safe, friendly staff, amazing breakfast included in the price. Hot showers & free lovely shower gels & shampoo & conditioner. Nice place to base myself from as a solo traveller. I booked a shuttle bus through them to Antigua & back & it was a great service.

Although there was a “error” in the price on Booking they were willing to keep my reservation at the price I had selected. And gave me the same attention as everyone else.
After a troublesome day of delayed flights I needed a place to crash and get some rest last minute was able to find this place. I was going to get there after midnight (after working hours) and many places charge you extra but they were understood my situation and let me in.
