like some others in the reviews, I too found a scorpion in my room. a little freaky but I relocated him and all was well.

grounds were beautiful. plenty to do without ever leaving the hotel. Staff was always friendly. breakfast was good.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Stunning grounds with lots of activities to do during your stay, and the cafeteria is pretty good too. Although I don’t speak Spanish staff was very patient with me and helpful when communicating. I couldn’t recommend more

After staying in 3 towns, this was my favourite stay in Lake Atitlan. Set away from the hustle and bustle, the lodge is set in the middle of reserve (meaning you don’t pay access like external visitors). The room itself was huge! It was beautifully decorated, clean, and super comfortable. My favourite part was sitting on the extensive balcony, overlooking the reserve, and listening to the birds singing whilst having a morning coffee. The staff are friendly, and the restaurant menu had plenty of options at a reasonable price. Easy 10min to walk into town - although you do need to walk along a main road for part of it, or take a tuk tuk. Highly recommend!

This hotel set on a nature reserve is a dream. Wake up to the birds singing, take a walk and see the beautiful fauna and wild monkeys and coati. The staff (Paola) was welcoming and attentive. Also Toby (the dog) was an adorable ambassador!

Really cool property! Wish we could have enjoyed it more but we were just getting over having parasites from local food. Breakfast was included, which was a major plus! It is totally worth staying here since the entrance fee is so expensive, it offsets the price of the hotel, and it’s a cool spot to stay just generally. It is worth it if you can actually take the time to enjoy.

Although the accommodation we stayed in was super comfortable and clean, having an encounter with a live scorpion sort of put us off.

The Nature Reserve is beautiful for nature lovers: walking over suspension bridges, seeing a lot of wild animals up close ( pisotes, monkeys, butterflies, hummingbirds). Doing the zip lines is so worth it- cheap and secure. The two fellows we had Mario and Cello inspired confidence and were so kind, considerate and caring.

It was very humid since it's very close to the water and the towels didn't dry so a towel heater could do the trick or change the towels daily. There is no food option in the evening but you could walk to the city (20min) or get a tuk tuk.

The thing that it was inside the natural reserve and you could enjoy the nature after it was closed for the public. The animals live around you and you can enjoy them any time. You don't pay an entrance fee and have a 10% discount on the activities. The staff is very friendly and helpful!! Always with a smile!

Unfortunately, we were woken up at 4am both mornings by a really noisy family that occupied the bungalows above and to the side of us. It would be nice if the hotel could step in when guests are so loud at inappropriate times.

We absolutely loved this place. It felt really special to have a little jungle bungalow surrounded by monkeys and coatis. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed all the walking routes, the wire bridges, the zip line and the small beach. Although it’s located slightly out of the town, it’s an easy walk in or a very cheap tuk tuk ride. We’d definitely stay here again.

the setting is in a reserve so it is very quiet and in the morning you hear birdsongs, the rooms and balconies are unique. You can walk the reserve just outside your door.

It’s a little bit outside of town (prepare to either walk or take a tuk tuk into town). It can feel a little busy during the day when visitors come to the reserve.
