The pool was constantly dirty, my kids were not able to enjoy it. This hotel needs updating, door to our balcony was broken, the view to the lake that I had booked for was given away . We ended up with an obstructed view due to construction next door. They did reduce the price by $20 but it was still disappointing. They do have a pool table and ice hockey table but they are a bit worn out. We also did find 2 water bugs on the floor of the bathroom.

Room is a little dated and most rooms seem to be taken by staff. Only one staff member speaks English. Pool was dirty and not used.

The en suite bathroom wasn't the most up-to-date. But it was clean and the water was good and hot.

The Hanna Resort is a sweet little family-run hotel located a short walk from the main downtown areas near the beachfront. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. After they saw that we had booked a back-facing family room online, they switched us to an available lake-facing room with a balcony for no extra charge. Also, the hotel has a lovely little outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool table and foosball that kept our teenagers happy and busy.

Outside noise was a bit much and a comfy chair on the balcony or in the room would be good.

The location is close to the lake, room was spacious with a large balcony that we could see the lake (partially). Lots of hot water for showering. The front desk staff (one of them) spoke great English and helped me with some paperwork. There is a pool table, fuse ball and air hockey all free. Pool is solar heated so a nice treat.

The cleanliness, the smell and the messy unclean bathroom.

It’s a big property, I liked the place but it needs a little love when it comes to cleanliness. The room smelled bad and the bathroom was in bad shape.

I could hear the wind blowing at night. It could be because of the close proximity to the lake.

Super friendly staff. Every person that I met from the owner, to the front desk team,to the security guard were super warm and caring. They wanted to make that you have a great stay with them. And they helped me with my luggage before I even had the chance to ask. I am glad I chose to stay there, as the place helped me to appreciate Panajachel as a whole. I highly recommend the room with a balcony and lake view. The view was spectacular, the balcony was huge with enough room for yoga, remote work, and enjoying your breakfast. It was also nice to wake up with the sound of the birds and surrounded by a well-kept garden. The place was easy for drop off and pickups by shuttles to and from other destinations like Antigua, Xela and Guatemala City. Just show the location on the map in case the travel agency doesn’t know the name of the hotel. Although there were plenty of restaurants only a few steps away, the place was much quieter at night than the main strip, which helped me to sleep. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Get a room with lake view! We booked one and it was really great. The rooms are very spacious, we were four people and had 3 double beds and one single. They also have a restaurant in the front which is nice. Also the hotel is somewhat close to the lake and parking was easy.
