The hotel was exceptional. It was quiet and clean. The rooms were very comfortable. Pablo, Eddie and Guadalupe were always there to answer any questions and made us feel like at home. Breakfast was great, too. Highly recommend it. Gracias a Pablo, Eddie y Guadalupe por sus atenciones.

Toiletries are very basic and so is the breakfast. It's filling but there are a set of 5 options you can choose from and it gets boring after a while, especially if you're vegetarian because there are only 2 options for you then. There is little privacy in the complex because rooms are right next to each other and the windows open towards walkways. Also, there is no AC in the rooms which can get a little hot, not too much though, in the night. They do provide table fans though.

The staff is super helpful. They didn't leave any stone unturned to make our stay comfortable. They accommodated early check-in and late checkout requests by an hour. When we asked for an earlier room cleanup or extra towels, they managed as well. They have a very pretty setup of flower plants at the roof. I asked if I could get one for my wife and they happily gave me a scissor to let me get one of my choice. They have a mineral water refill setup on the ground floor which is very helpful and sustainable. Additionally, you still get water bottles in the room if you want. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Shower has very good pressure. It takes a minute or two to get hot water but once it starts, it's very good. Location is amazing. They have a terrace setup where you can sit or eat. It has the view of 3 volcanoes, and has a canopy so that you can sit for a long time. It has great views, isn't too far from the main attractions and yet is away from the noise of the city. We used to get fresh fruits from the market and asked them to keep them in the fridge. They'd happily do it and bring it to us with breakfast, after washing.

The interior of the hotel is stunning. A lovely rooftop (could do with more shade) with views of Fuego is a lovely bonus. The room was very big and had everything you would expect. Free parking was an added bonus. A short walk into the main town, but it is pleasant and close.

Nothing springs to mind

Lovely old hotel on the edge of town. This is a great choice if you want a quiet location away from the traffic noise and fumes. Very friendly staff, generous breakfast, and a nice comfortable room. There is a lovely rooftop terrace with views across town to the surrounding volcanoes - watch Fuego erupting from the comfort of a lounger! It’s a 20 minute walk to the centre of Antigua, and the walk to the viewing area by the cross starts at the top of the street.

Our stay was great. The room was comfortable and had an amazing shower - super hot water and great pressure, which was exactly what we needed after walking around Antigua for hours. It’s a little bit far from the city centre but that also makes that it’s more quiet.

In a beautiful quiet building you’ll find this tranquil home from away. The shower was warm and had pressure, the bed slept perfect and the staff was really nice.

It is such a lovely place with amazing staff ready to make your stay a wonderful experience. The room was clean and the premises were quiet, which is hard to find! The breakfast was yummy and the bread out of this world! We will be going back to Candelaria Antigua
