Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIf only we had been met by a gracious hospitable host. From the very first moment, before we even could say hello, we met an angry lady who made us feel that she made us a favour being there. She hardly gave us any information about the room, let alone the nearby area or the island. Even a question on how to turn on the small burner for greek coffee was met with a scorn, as we were supposed to know all the details of electrical appliances in Greece (we do not). A precaution about the key was uttered like a threat of a heavy fine. And this attitude lasted the whole stay, she only looked happy seeing us leaving. I am at a loss where to attribute that behaviour, which seemed to be specifically directed at us, I wonder whether it was the fact that we canceled a subsequent shorter booking there, or because we requested a formal receipt on her demand (illegal, probably) that we pay in cash. It could also be, perhaps, because we were late to the agreed arrival time, due to lack of local taxis. Still, though, it was not midnight, it was something like 4 pm, it is not the guests' fault that the host chose to live in the other end of the island without having an attendant in place. It is a pity as we liked both the studios and the area so much we would love to come back, but after this reception, the odds of doing so are almost zero.
It is a very nice property, very bright, well attended and the cleanest we have ever seen. Spacious room with a good size bathroom and shower. The small kitchen was well equipped, although the stove (along with the TV) may need some upgrade. Nice large balcony (veranda on ground floor rooms) with a table and a couple of chairs, the only negative here, if one minds it, is that facing west (an excellent view of the sea), it is almost impossible to be used mid-afternoon (no shades here). Across from it, on the other side of the street, there is a small beach with probably the clearest water in the whole island. However, the actual beachfront is almost non-existent, so one would have a swim and back to the room or to the nearby restaurant, perhaps. This may be a plus, though, as it is not that crowded and without those ugly rows upon rows of sunbeds that destroy the beauty of the greek beaches. (A few sunbeds by the outside shower area would have been a nice addition to property). A five-minute walk towards the city one would find another beach with sunbeds and a canteen, if one is more keen to those. Speaking of the restaurant, we had a very nice dish of fish there. It is mostly a seafood restaurant with limited options for non-seafood food. It opens at around 12 noon for lunch and stays open till late for dinner. At least one visit is recommended there. Contrary to some other comments, the main town and port is a little over than 4 km away from the property (about 40-50 minutes walk, mostly on the street), where one would find a lot of restaurants, cafes and market. Closer to the studios, about 20 min walk, is Marathonas with beaches, a few restaurants, one or two bars and a supermarket. There is a bus service, but it is not frequent, with the last bus around 6:30 pm. The taxis however are reasonably priced, 6-7 euros from the port to the studios.

United KingdomThere is no downside to the apartment! Local buses are few and far between on the island, but we soon realised the best place to get these is from Aegina Town and you can always phone a taxi!
The apartments are perfectly located. To the left as you walk out of the apartments (15 min walk), you have Marathonas Beach, which is a small village with a supermarket, a few bars and restaurants and a nice beach where you can swim. To the right (30 min walk), you have Aegina Town which has an abundance of bars, restaurants, shops, larger supermarket, boat trips, bus station etc. Our apartment itself was larger than we had expected with a large double bed and a pull out fouton bed for an extra guest or child. There is a kitchen with cooking facilities and utensils, a full size fridge and a good size bathroom with a shower. Our balcony was massive and was furnished with a table and chairs plus clothes airer for our towels and swimwear. Our host Stefanie met us on arrival to show us around and how everything in the apartment worked. She also shared some important local knowledge such as the must see places to visit on and around the island. She kindly offered to organise a hire car should we need it and was on hand to resolve any minor issues within the apartment (we needed a new shower head after a few days which was replaced immediately on reporting this). The apartments are kept extrememly clean, with the friendly cleaners coming every 1-2 days to clean the room, change the sheets and the bins (needed particularly as you cannot put any paper down the toilet on Aegina Island). We enjoyed our visit so much, we will definitely stay here again!

GreeceNot really an issue, but the mattresses were a bit firm for my taste.
The studios are located between Aigina Town and Marathonas Beach. This was very convenient for us, as we were aiming for something quiet yet close to the town. Our hostess, Mrs. Stefanie, is a true hospitality professional, going the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our vacation. We stayed at the blue studio that had an amazing view to the small port across the street. We will definitely come back next year.

RomaniaThe TV is very small,it should be replaced with a bigger one. But who has time for TV, when you come home tired after a long day spent outside ? We have listened only to a radio station named ZEPPELIN,found in the TV channel list [ 70's, 80's & 90's hits]
Everything corresponded to the description and to the photos Big studio, spacious ,shiningly clean, very well equipped with all that you need ,not only for short staying, but also for a long vacantion whith your family. Terrace is very large ,you can enjoy your breakfast relaxed ,looking at the sea. Is situated at a twenty minutes walking to the city center and harbour ,in a quiet and a safe area, near a small beach across the road. Parking is on the location yard and is very safe. The host is very kind, prompt and helpful giving you all details about check-in procedure, also about all Egina points of interest. The apartment is cleaned every day and the host is paying attention to each detail that you are highlighted to her in this matter. It was a realy pleasure to spend a part of our vacation in this wonderful location. Will be back as soon as we are going to visit Greece. Thank you !

United KingdomThere was nothing that I did not like, the accommodation was as expected and as reflected on the website.
I liked the location of Stefanie Studios as I could walk across the road and swim in the sea, in a very quiet, non-tourist location. As the accommodation was self-catering, it was also very convenient to have a restaurant right across the road from the accommodation. Stefanie Studios is also a 5 minute walk from the closest bus stop. Stefanie was extremely helpful, and informed us on places of interest and more helpful was providing the website for the bus timetables and advising the Greek word for 'bus'. We were also able to do our laundry.

PolandIt is hard for me to write anything negative because I am satisfied.
Great location, close to the sea and beautiful beaches. It's not far to the main harbour, but this makes it more peaceful. I am very positively surprised by the organisation of the place, the tidiness and the contact with the owner who is very helpful and gave us a wonderful welcome and farewell. Thanks to this place I have an even better perception of the holiday.

United KingdomOur neighbors were rudely loud and as a result we did have a broken moments during our sleep. The lovely landlord did give them a warning without a great success and she did apologize to us however I think that this issue would be largely resolved if we had another room a little far away from them.
We did like the close proximity to the town. The view was lovely as it is very close to the seaside. It is a nice and calm place to spend a few nights so to explore the beauties of Aegean. The landlord was really welcome and she gave us useful information about island.

United KingdomIf pushed, and I never like this bit, when there are so many overwhelming positives..... The shower, albeit brilliant, was hand-held, so a wall fixing might be good. As with most other places we've stayed in over the last three weeks, the Wi-Fi is variable, though adequate.
This studio was perfect for our seven days in Aegina. Quiet, peaceful, and private. Set back from the main road from Aegina Town to Marathonas and Perdika, the view south west from our first floor balcony was over palms and pistachio trees to the sea and Moni island. It was a self-catering studio, with little kitchen area, with more than you need for breakfast and simple meals. Large fridge, with a freezer compartment too. Half a minute's walk away across the road is the sea! A little stretch of sandy/pebbly beach, with a lovely restaurant and little marina. Perfect! The location of Stefanie Studios is ideal for exploring the island. Within a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive south is Marathonas, with larger beaches with sunbeds etc, more restaurants, and a supermarket. Further on by car, for about 5 minutes, is Perdika, very beautiful with lots of fish restaurants and a larger marina, spots for ad hoc swimming, and a regular boat service across to the island of Moni. By car, it's so easy to get to the other side of the island in less than half an hour, and to explore everything north, south, and in between. The bathroom was perfectly adequate, with a terrifically powerful shower in a spacious tiled walk in space, and always plenty of hot water. The back of the property, facing south east, had the most amazing pistachio orchard, lovely sunrises, and a very spirited cockerel which we loved and miss!! The balcony with a little table and chairs faces south west so we caught some sunsets over Agistri and the Peloponnese as well. It's always such a pleasure to stay somewhere where you meet the owner and get to have a proper chat. It was not only very personal, but you feel confident that you are staying somewhere that's efficiently run, with care and kindness.

PolandVery quiet location next to the small harbor with nice small beach by 5 minutes, in 15 minutes you get to one of the most beautiful sandy Marathona beach. Supermarket located in the same distance. Place is very well equipped to prepare meals by yourself and all apartments have nice views to pistachio plant and seaside in the opposite. Stefania is very warm and helpful person :)

UkraineRather suggestion. One should be ready for weaker Internet on the island in comparison to the mainland. WIFI in the apartment is OK even for watching videos, but if you not overload it with numerous gadgets. If you buy the 12 Euro Cosmote mobile Internet card at Germanos store in the Aegine city (by the way, there is always a queue of at least 5 people to enter ), the connection is strong but not stable.
Nice, clean, well-equipped apartment with a cozy balcony. Complete anti-mosquito protection. Spacious and smooth parking space. The seashore in 1 walking minute. A small scenic marina with a very popular traditional tavern is even closer :) A lot of places to spend quiet time near the sea. The area is far not overpopulated with tourists. We drove around the island and find out that Vrochia place is really the place of Aegina spirit. Many thanks to Stefania who made our vacation careless and calm.
