Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe staff were not friendly and actually most of the time, there was nobody to help because generally it is a long term accommodation (Not a hotel) so there was nobody at reception to help you. The first day we arrived, kettle was broken and we report it but they bring us another broken one. The same story happened on the oven hub and one hub stopped working but again nobody cares and the problem didn't solve even until last day while I requested it more than 3 times. The sofa was very dirty and unusable.

This is not a hotel , 1st time through booking.com I had such a disgusting bad service from a hotel , ive been using the app for 6 7 years. You never let me down They would not let me check in at midnight without paying extra £10 I've heard off late check out, these guys charge for check in very bad , they should be removed from your platform

United KingdomOnly gave us the end of a toilet roll, no staff on the desk to ask for more. Room wasn't ready for 3pm check in even though I ended up checking in at 4. Cupboard doors hanging off, food left in the sink, door to the "bathroom" wouldn't close all the way and wouldn't stay shut, handle to the bathroom door hanging off, clumps of hair on the single towel supplied, corner desk wonky and came with a crack in it. Most outside windows smashed and covered up with plastic bags, underwear left on top of the washing machines in the reception foyer, loads of HMRC letters just piled up around the reception. People smoking weed right outside the front door which also came in through the window. No batteries in the TV remote. No bin in the room. Sofa has a massive dip along one whole side, holes in the sofa and the cushions falling off. Mirror held to the wall with cellotape, chair for the desk had a broken back support. Black mold in shower. Overall dingy little claustrophobic room
