How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Limited choice for making hot drink in room - no decaff options and only full fat milk sachets. No chair in room. No shelf in bathroom to place toothbrush, razor, toiletries etc on. (It was apparent there had been one from fixings left in wall but shelf had not been replaced.)
Room was generally clean throughout. Heating was adequate and had no problems with availability of hot water. Wi-Fi worked ok. The hotel is conveniently situated if you don't have your own transport, only a few bus stops / short taxi ride from the interchange.

The horrible 'musty' smell. Definitely need a fresh air plug in for room 17.
We were happy with 2 out of the 3 rooms allocated, they are basic but clean. Not happy with room 17 as there was a horrible 'musty' smell.

the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me. but given the price and location I can't really complain it was perfect for what I needed.

the shower was fairly weak water pressure wise and the shower head itself was very small so there wasn’t much of a spread other than that no issues.
locating was great just a short 15 minute walk or so to Princes ave so good place to stay when on a night out.

I could hear absolutely every word spoken by other guests in other rooms, the snoring in the room next door kept me awake. Overall the sound proofing is not good!! I appreciate there’s not much that can be done about this which is a shame as the hotel is ideal for what I need.
The hotel was perfect for what I needed, the location and parking were essential for me. The room was comfy and warm and the price affordable.

View from window could have been better. Room at each side of the bed would have been nice.
Room was basic as we expected. Nice and warm. Good hot shower. Bed against the wall. Only 1 chair in the room. It met our needs for a 1 night stopover. Just needed a bed and a shower. Staff were very helpful, providing a second pillow.

The flooring at the entrance to the bathroom was damaged and I caught my toe on the corner edge a couple of times.
Everything was to an acceptable standard. The young lady who booked us in was lovely and very helpful.

The room was very basic, had damp/mould spores on the bathroom ceiling and the blinds. The walls had dirt marks from previous guests. The bedding was abit stained. The facilities were quite basic which was expected as we didn't pay much, but upon arrival the receptionist told us she was shocked we were allowed to book at a cheap price as they charge much more now... I wouldnt have paid anymore than I did for what we recieved.
The staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting us with organising taxis etc. Beds were fairly comfortable Room was a very good size for the price, spacious and had storage facilities for clothes.

No hot water. They did offer another room for a shower in the morning, but i had had a cold bath cause i needed to get away to a job.

Limited parking Booking.com showed a Bar, there isn't one Theres no ventilation in the room.
