Booked this stay last minute as a little birthday getaway for my partner and am so happy I did! Kirsty went above and beyond as a host, even gave us some lovely ideas on things to do in the local area. Super friendly and I liked the little unique touches left in the room. House was in a beautiful peaceful location. Our room was lovely and homely, spacious bathroom and most importantly a comfortable bed! Breakfast was great with plenty of options. I don’t often leave reviews, but this place is worthy of one!

Fabulous hosts with a real eye to detail. Superb award winning breakfasts, with homemade goodies and quality produce sourced locally. The property is awesome....a quirky 19th century house set in four acres of land. Very tranquil spot. Large bedrooms with high ceilings, very tastefully furnished. Comfy beds and a choice of pillows to guarantee a great night's sleep. A professionally run establishment. This couple deserve high praise indeed. Highly recommended. If we are back in this area we would definitely return here. Love it!

Breakfast was heavenly: delicious and such attention to detail. I live in Japan and this was right up there in terms of 'omotenashi' which means hospitality. Furnishings, decor also first rate. I want to live here!

We absolutely loved the Old Vicarage, we loved everything! Our room and the whole place was very clean and inviting. Kirsty is kind and approachable. Oh, the breakfast, that was remarkable with home made jams and a surprise, made by Kirsty for every morning. There were plenty of information about the area so if you were going to go there without any plans that would not be a problem. There is a well-prepared and detailed package of what to see, what to do or what to eat. Kirsty and Gareth do their very best to make your stay remarkable. I definitely recommend this place and we need to return sometime to taste Kirsty's gooseberry chutney!

For me this was a perfect 10! Spacious, comfortable room and the nicest bathroom I have ever seen. The staff should get a reward for being the nicest, warmest and friendliest you can have; making an excellent breakfast and giving usefull advice for daytrips. And last but not least, a historic building with a nice atmosphere in a quiet surroundings.

A remote spot in mid wales, the surrounding countryside is stunning and it was so peaceful and relaxing at the old vicarage. There is so much to explore and do in this area of wales. Gareth and Kirsty were incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Nothing was too much trouble. There was real attention to detail from the food, to the rooms. Even providing a pillow menu!! Amazing. Thank you both so much.

Kirsty and Garrett were fantastic hosts. Their local knowledge of attractions was excellent. The accommodation was beautiful and choices of local produce was excellent.

The room was a little too cold which disturbed our sleep, the shower was not at all powerful and the breakfast bacon was very salty (this is obviously a personal preference).

Friendly and helpful hosts who spent time talking to us and advising on the best places to go, great attention to detail throughout, beautifully decorated and very clean.

There was nothing to dislike about the Old Vicarage.

The location for us was perfect, you can get to the hole of north Wales with no problem. The wonderful breakfast with a lovely choice, I’m vegetarian and still had great selection.
