No USB chargers available in the room. Power sockets by the bed were very difficult to use making charging phones hard.

I was concerned about the door to the outside. I reported this. I would have expected the manager to see me about it but he/she/they didn’t and that was disappointing. I am not convinced anything will be done about it and it needs to be attended to.

We were extremely annoyed to be presented with a 3%service charge fee as we were checking out. We’ve NEVER experienced this before in any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It has marred an otherwise lovely stay. The service charge was not paid.

Location of the hotel is excellent. Stunning decor and comfortable bed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was served at the library and it was excellent! We will definitely stay here again.

I'm only putting things here to help them get absolutely perfect! I did not like having "Accommodation Service Charge" (of 3%) added to my bill without explanation. I had not come across this before but apparently it's becoming the norm with very good hotels. They did take it off when I asked about it. It should have been communicated to me that it is an optional service tip and I would have appreciated knowing exactly how much goes to the staff. The food in the restaurant is really good, but the service is slow though lovely (I had also had a lunch there before). The hand held shower was broken but I know they would have fixed this by now, as they took good notes. Now really nitpicking: the coffee machine only does luke warm and not big cups, and there is nothing to say what the coffee pods are, some people prefer soap bars rather than liquid soap.

Room and breakfast, and dinner for 8 people. I really loved this hotel and would go back and even request the same room. The staff were always efficient - from reserving me a slightly larger parking space, getting me a slightly earlier check out, and being professional and friendly throughout. I loved the room - they gave me a free upgrade. But what was good was the attention to detail - lovely furniture and decor, good bathroom products, everything I needed, interesting paintings, etc.. Very good food.

Limited parking and suggested nearby alternative only offered 2hrs parking. There are other options eg park and ride or relatively expensive inner city parking approx 20 mins walk away.

Parking is limited. I was lucky enough to get a space on both nights that I was there which was great but I had to move it at checkout which I completely understood but turned out to be very inconvenient and I missed some of my conference as a result.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the hotel characterful and wonderfully located. The breakfast was delicious and it was a treat to get a free newspaper.
