Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomReally, for student accommodation it was absolutely fine and had nice towels and toiletries. Shower is small but I didn't expect it to be anything else.
I was staying in Liverpool to attend a weekend conference. I found Albert Court to be in walking distance of Lime Street station, easy to access, staff were friendly and helpful, room and bathroom were fine and it was overall very good value for money.

United KingdomThe mattress could do with being replaced
I travelled for Eurovision and stayed in here for 3 nights, I worked from the room on two of these days. Room - good facilities, warm room, compact, had everything I needed plus fast wifi for work, walls are quite thin so you can hear neighbours if they are in. Luckily for me, most of the rooms were empty or the neighbours were out. Bed - single bed, mattress was a tiny bit uncomfortable as I could feel the springs, but it's a basic place and it did not disrupt my sleep Location - about a 25 minute walk from the docks, and 15 minute walk into town centre Staff - Friendly, and helpful

United KingdomThe shower cubicle is tiny and can spray out very hot indeed.
Comfortable bed; had all the basic amenities like kettle and complimentary tea, coffee, small soap and shampoo. Was exactly as expected. There's nowhere else in Liverpool where you can stay for anything close to £56 on a Saturday night. If all you want is somewhere warm to lay your head, Albert Court is absolutely fine.

United KingdomNoise level. Given that it's student accommodation, can hear people coming in or going during the late hours of the night and even early in the morning when people wake up plus from the outside could hear people chatting. Can't be helped I suppose and it doesn't help that I'm a very light sleeper. Worth staying if you're looking to stay overnight for a couple of nights at least and if you can overcome the noise. Bring ear plugs or a Bluetooth ear mask to combat this.
Convenient, was safe to stay. Had access to own bathroom and actual room, not dormitory which was a dealbreaker. Staff were very friendly. Decent value for money and didn't feel insecure when coming in or going out. I would stay again if needed for a couple of nights again.

United KingdomIt's cheap and cheerful so there's nothing to dislike as long as you're not fussed about it being brand new or super luxurious.
This is student accommodation so as long as you remember that you won't go wrong. It's clean and tidy and everything you need for a stay in the centre of Liverpool. It's not the hilton and neither is the price. I'd happily stay here again

United KingdomOnly a minor thing, but I did struggle with the mattress a little, but that's likely to be a me thing as I have disabilities that mean I need a supportive mattress. But honestly, value for money, it's a minor mention.
It was ideal for a couple of night's stay visiting my daughter in Liverpool, close to everything. I loved that there were tea making facilities in the room. The reception staff were really lovely and welcoming and it was surprisingly quiet!

United KingdomMy room had a little smell of sick but my friends rooms were fine. Could have been an accident in there.
This is perfect for a short stay. Great value for money, clean but basic. Single room with own bathroom. Expect student accommodation and you won't be disappointed. Pretty central location, can walk into city centre in 20mins or grab a cab to arrive in 5mins. Staff on reception were very friendly, helpful and accommodating - couldn't have asked for more from them. So helpful.

United KingdomOn a date when normal hotel rooms were very highly priced this was a good budget option. Bear in mind that this is an un-used room in student accommodation not a hotel - so set expectations accordingly.

United KingdomThe bed was not very comfy and there was quite a bit of noise from people coming and going, but it was not too bad, especially considering the price and benefits of kitchen access.
I was staying nearby for a training course and this was a great base. Good size room and wifi for working, and very useful to have kitchen facilities to save money on eating out. Good value for money.
