Wish there had been a walk in shower as my sister who is disabled with a walking stick couldn't get into Bath for shower plus the room was a t the end of corridor room 120 which was a fair distance to walk for her

The original room we had was a bit small, shabby and dated but more importantly was next to the lift so we asked to upgrade. The suite had no bottled water which was a bit odd. We were told to buy it from the bar (the suite upgrade wasn't cheap so bottled water would have been nice included). We were woke at 5.30 by the milkman delivering, and then the laundry van shortly after. Our suite was the front of the hotel and we had to shut the windows as people were outside talking and smoking before 7am which wasn't ideal, the smell was wafting into our room. As lovely as the staff were and the hotel was, it was a shame. The hotel, in places was also in need of some tlc.

The location was fabulous, the hotel communal areas were very nicely presented. The staff were so lovely and friendly (Janette and Ryan were lovely on reception) , they couldn't do enough for us. The food was very good. We upgraded our room to the Eddleston suite which was fabulous, just idyllic.

The floors were very creaky everywhere you walked.

Unfortunately the lift stopped working which was difficult for my partner who has MS and there was. Wedding party that was rowdy and disturbed the corridors with noise and screaming until 2 am but the hotel was gracious and apologised the day after .

The bedrooms are a little tired and two people need two chairs. It was also very very warm at night which kept us awake. More English language leaflets about the Polish map maybe available in the hotel so they don't get rain damaged. If they were available we didn't see them.

The staff were all lovely and welcoming especially in the restaurant on Monday night and at reception o Tuesday morning. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing. We had a lovely walk in the grounds. We knew about the polish map but not the walk down to the altar which was beautiful.

I really can find no fault in the hotel, staff and facilities. Very satisfied.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable with no noise. Really enjoyed our short stay.

Only one bedside table on one side of double bed and no plug points beside bed. Carpets in corridors worn through in places. Mattress wasn't super comfortable.

Fantastic location, stunning grounds, beautiful building, spacious room, nice that it is independent and didn't feel "corporate", charging points for electric cars, pool and sauna facilities.

Lovely old Scottish castle set in beautiful grounds. All very comfortable. Lovely staff. Excellent dinner, enough to feed a large rugby player, so couldn’t finish all of it. Starter selection was awesome!

the bed could have been better as you could feel the springs through the mattress, was also lumpy and was report to reception, also no ventilation in the room which was exceedingly warm, though the radiators were off, windows were locked,( on safety ) according to the info sheet
