The place is a little rundown and needs a spruce up

The location of the hotel was brilliant. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was very good. Their lift was broken but the staff carried our heavy bags to our room. The staff were excellent.

The lift was broke for weeks.. and I wasn’t able to get out on the balcony as apparently was deemed ,,unsafe”.

Unfortunately for us, the lift was out of order the whole time we were there, being elderly this was a major dampening on our enjoyment of our holiday. We understand the lift had been out of action for some time prior to our arrival but were never informed of this. Sorry to say that this spoiled our trip.

Breakfast was ok, all the normal things. Cereal, plus cooked breakfast if required.

Nothing really, although it’s having a bit of a renovation at the moment. When the renovations are finished, it will be stunning.

The scenery is fantastic and easy to walk into the town, or along to the harbour with a short coast walk. I also really liked the hotel and the decor. The heating was broken when we were there and the weather was shocking, but the staff put a portable fan in our room to help us warm up and dry off which was kind.

We booked for a sea view but it wasn’t like that. We wanted to have dinner but at the hotel they had a party and didn’t allow us to eat in the restaurant because the staff was busy with the party. I think this is not our problem and we should be served.

Housekeeping could of vacuumed the rooms carpets during our stay as they were dark in colour and showed any amount of dirt.

The Sauna and Steam Room could be on and not have to wait for them to heat up, both rooms should be bigger as it will only accommodate two people. Sea view Room - over a parapet room (no beach) for the same price as a Full Sea View room (picture attached). LIFT NOT WORKING! Hence we were put in a lower floor room as my wife is disabled, so thank you for that but it should have been a cheaper room. I was assured that parking space in front of hotel was reserved, which it wasn’t and had to wait to get a disabled space - Nearer to the main entrance.

Breakfast was good and fresh, eggs were no with runny yolks as requested and found the outer edges were crispy (over cooked), It arrived at the table in a timely manner but with no presentation and no white sugar on the table

Our balcony was not accessible and it was very dilapidated. Unfortunately I left a fleece behind and it took 4 weeks for it to be sent to me, despite me paying straight away for its postal return. Lesson learnt... Check the wardrobe!

The food was lovely, the pool was good, our room was a good size and the bathroom was very nice and clean. Amazing views. Chandeliers everywhere! 😄

The lift was unavailable which was not ideal for the 100 plus people in my group. A small message on the lift door was not ideal.

I don't think there was anything we didn't like. At a push - the walls in the bedroom were a little thin meaning we could hear everyone who walked by (we were at the end of a corridor so there wasn't much). Breakfast was just OK; but we still enjoyed!

The Atlantic Hotel is wonderful! The location is just beautiful, perched on the cliffs looking over Newquay and the water. We were extremely lucky with the sun shining for the duration of our stay. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, with a special mention to Denise on check-in.
