James is amazing. Such a wonderful host. Wish I could have stayed longer to chat. Driving through France to Spain. Comfy bed and gorgeous old home. Loved breakfast choices including homemade jam, honey and eggs from his garden.

That I couldn't stay longer

Loved the stately house sitting in a lush maintained garden. Flowing water gives a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Host J was welcoming, helpful and accommodating with numerous restaurant suggestions. Continental breakfast was plentiful with home made jams, yoghurt en honey from owners bees. 😁

James was an excellent host and when we had a situation with our rental car, he was good to converse with the car rental company in France and then also recommended a different car rental company in Dieppe for us to continue the rest of our holiday in France. His compassion for our situation and his help in problem solving was second to none. Having met at breakfast others who chose Villa Mon Repos as a repeat destination speaks volumes for James' care and attention to detail.

Would suggest a motion light for the laneway for anyone arriving late as the first few car lengths are dark before you can see the house.

Amazing! We arrived to a very warm welcome into a beautiful foyer. Room was very spacious, big comfortable bed, and a spacious fully equipped/supplied bathroom. We arrived hungry on a Sunday (not a lot open) but James was very well organized for restaurants that would be open. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety and we took the opportunity to chat with James and other guests. Very very friendly. James also helped organize our activities and drive for the day so we would get the most out of our time. Would definitely stay again!

The rooms have special design, garden is large and very beautiful I liked it, and this helped to choose this location. In addition to attractive price. Our host went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Moreover, we had to leave early in the morning so he changes the time of breakfast to address our needs. His hospitality truly made our trip even more enjoyable.

Everything was lovely

We used this accommodation as a stop off on the way to Brittany, and were not expecting too much, but it was perfect. Such a friendly welcome from James, and the room was beautiful, with a comfortable bed and a balcony! We sat out and enjoyed a glass of wine and couldn't believe that we had made such a good choice. Slept extremely well and enjoyed breakfast in the dining room/kitchen with our fellow travellers. We were sorry to have to leave. Highly recommend this beautiful accommodation.

Characterful, comfy bed, well appointed. Lovely very French breakfast. Host is friendly. Setting with chickens and ducks. Sea swimming is very handy at Pourville just 10 mins away by car. We had easy access to a fridge/freezer, microwave.

I didn’t dislike it but advise to travel light, narrow staircases could make heaving heavy suitcases up difficult.

Easy to locate, lovely setting with a nice garden. Lovely breakfast with fresh eggs from the garden chickens and home made yogurt and Jams, delicious! It’s a very friendly guest house with just the right amount of privacy and hospitality. After a long journey we arrived early but able to relax in garden whilst waiting for room.

That we only had 1 night.

Location next to old mill. Historical aspect and architecture. Gardens just so perfect and peaceful. I live on a small island on west coast of Scotland which is paradise, this comes a close second. Host was wonderful, One big table for breakfast was just perfect too reminded me of my childhood. Recomendations for places to eat from host were spot on too. Stayed all over France this rates with my favourite. We will probably fly to Paris hire a car and have a long weekend here in the future.
