Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Greecewe were planning to explore the place for an hour before checking out at 11 and then we found out that our check out was also at 10. Breakfast finished at 10. That was a very early checkout. It was quite stressful for us. Check in was at 16:00.
Really beautiful place but we didnt get to enjoy it.

CanadaIt would have been nice to have a couple of comfy chairs to sit in the alcove and also outside on the deck when the weather was nice.
The hotel is located in a very lovely garden setting with ponds and walking paths. The cabins were basic but clean.

United KingdomNot very accessible for people with mobility problems. nobody there to welcome you. Key had to be collected from a different building to the hotel room. More of a conference centre than a hotel for travellers. Reception staff friendly.

United KingdomThe bungalow we were assigned seemed to not be used very much and thus, because of its nature as a stand alone unit, did need a bit of airing on arrival. We managed this ourselves perfectly easily and fed this back on check-out and the feedback was well received and noted.
Lovely spot and easy going atmosphere, very quiet. Bungalow had plenty of space and description was clear. Fridge was useful to keep things fresh. Free swimming nearby was a nice perk but we didn't have time to take advantage of it, sadly.

United KingdomThe individual cottages was a bit sparse / utilitarian - exposed block work, no decoration, no kitchen facilities and no furnishings to reflect the region it is set in.
Peaceful setting; has a pool; food quality was very good, if lacking in range of choices for kids. Self-contained and dog friendly. Friendly reception staff.

United KingdomNo air conditioning in the rooms, and we were there in the 2022 Heatwave!! The buildings are from the 1980’s and are a little outdated. For a conference venue or base for a group, it’s probably very good.
The facilities were extensive (outdoor and indoor pool, cycle hire, cycle routes), clean and the staff were friendly. The restaurant was situated on a deck overlooking a pond, and the food was excellent - and really, really good value. Also, the local wine, from the neighbouring vineyard was really nive and not pricey

United KingdomI usually take an inexpensive basic room so my expectations are limited. Nothing. I much prefer JdA to the large chain hotels in the centre of Angers or Nantes.
Breakfast is ok. Great apple juice, french bread and, of course, cheese. Coffee quite good - I used to work for a company that roasted coffee and I use coffee from the Atherton Tableland in Australia so am reasonably demanding. I like having the gym available and being able to go in late at night or early morning. It is run down and most of the machines are end of life but there is enough kit there to have a decent workout. A very small investment (basic equipment without lots of electronics) would be good - e.g. a spinning machine using magnetic resistance would have been a better buy than the exercise bikes as they are far more robust. JdA is very quiet and when it is open the restaurant is excellent.

United KingdomNothing. The buildings were concrete blocks with camp beds. The interior and floors were concrete. Two deck chairs instead of a sofa. The one tv wasn’t working. The bedding looked like it had been used since the 70’s. It was more like a car park with trees rather than a ‘Forrest’ nothing was open. The main reception was depressing and nothing was open. My son said is this somewhere you go when you commit a crime.
We arrived at the property and was horrified and didn’t stay at the property.
