How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great location , good breakfast. Parking for 1,8m cars. Our was 2,1 m full loaded on the way to Spain and the Staff reserved specially for us parking place just in front of the entrance to keep it safe. THANK YOU once again. Pets friendly, you can find small green zonez 2-3 min walk.

a bit of walk to the beach. the shower door can be upgraded to not escape water at the bottom. after 4 showers, the floor gets a lot of water and you need to keep it away.

Kettle in room would help. Car Park tricky to get into and dark-had to move car to be able to open boot.
Friendly staff,very helpful as to how to find places etc. Comfortable room and good bathroom. Breakfast predictable but adequate.

Pity the bar was not open in the evening as it seems like a nice place to relax.
Check in was easy and efficient and the room was small but was perfect for the one night. It was their final room available so maybe not their largest one. Nice area to sit outside the room and have a smoke and a drink. Parking is also available on the street for free and we were lucky to get a spot.

The garage was not done, very narrow with a lot of columns. No soap in the bathroom. No fridge in the room
Location - We can just walk to the center. Nice room, good for 4. Well- decorated hotel.

Bedrooms tiny and fairly basic, although clean. 'Garden terrace' a bit disappointing. Soundproofing could be an issue but luckily we didn’t have a problem. Underground parking very tight if you have a big car.
The pool was lovely and we had it to ourselves most of the day. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location good - an easy 10 minute stroll to the beach, restaurants or the port. Breakfast was nice - very fresh and eaten on the balcony overlooking the pool.

The hotel was really nice, with a good eye for detail. The outside swimmingpool is beautiful. The staff was incredibly nice and helpfull!

Would have been great to have a fridge in the room and perhaps a coffee machine. Parking on premise is a problem, but plenty of street parking.
Great staff. Super friendly and accommodating. Boutique type of hotel a stones throw from the beach. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Premises modern and well equipped.

Expensive breakfast 18€ but with few options. We arrived in the night and they gave us the wrong code so we were not able to come it immediately and we waited. Noisy AC, room small and not super clean. Impossible to shower without flood the bathroom. No parking available, only in the road.

I travelled to this wonderful, cosy hotel La Voile again and since last time, everything was perfect. Enjoyed my stay very much! Thank you for the nice hospitality, the team and the good food. Will come back next summer.

Lovely hotel! We have just been there fore one night and it was perfect! Very kind and warm welcome through the hotel director at the reception, taking care of our check-in, luggage and organizing everything very smoothly. We liked the area of the hotel, as well as the accommodation, nice pool area and bar with a great selection of beverages from Vodka, Whisky and softdrinks. The breakfast was great as well, perfect selection of ham, cheese, eggs, bread. Everything we need - we are happy to coming back.

The room temperature was difficult to regulate. The wifi was terrible and it was hard to accomplish some internet tasks while we were there due to the wifi. We were not trying to stream things for entertainment, but some trip planning was painfully slow. It was overpriced for the room for 3.
The room was good sized and the location was fine. It was nice to have an outdoor balcony, but we didn't use it except to hang towels to dry.
