This hotel was a revelation of French hospitality. We were greeted by angels, and it delighted us with the size and historical ambiance of our room. We looked out at the village and Grand Cathedral of Chartes. We are coming back for at least another weeks stay.

This is an elegant hotel with exceptionally well-trained staff throughout. The rooms are spacious and attractive with luxurious bedding and towels. The fitness room is small but complete. They even keep it cool, which many hotels do not. The hotel parking lot is about one block away but the staff will help you retrieve your car and load or unload your bags. The breakfast buffet is interesting and delicious, and the upscale restaurant, Le Georges, afforded us one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had.

They put us on the first floor ( 2nd in North America) but the section we were in had stairs so it was a bit more difficult for us to move our luggage. We were put at the back of the hotel which was a long distance from the front.

The weird bathroom set-up... The toilet. It was so crunched in a corner, that I had to sit sidewise to do my business. That was not optimal. (The bathroom in the lobby was very clean and nice, with a wee bit more leg room!)

The breakfast was excellent. The room clean and cozy, with a great bed. The bathroom was weird. It was very long. That was actually cool. For the rest, a great location, friendly staff, cool bar and a great experience in the spa!

The SPA service wasn’t available. I tried to call by phone as suggested. Then, since nobody was picking up the phone, I went to the Salon in person but they told me there was any availability for a beauty treatment at any time of the day

The secure parking is a good 5 mins walk from the hotel which clients should be aware of. The room was a little warm and hard to cool down. The rooms are arranged around a courtyard so some are a long walk away from the stairs, including ours. Normally not an issue but we were puzzled why they would give a couple with a dog a long walk to the outside. 🤷‍♀️

Good sized room for a couple and quite a large dog. Breakfast was good. They had secure parking.

This hotel is an absolute delight. It exudes 'Frenchness' with its cloth wallpapers and Michelin-star restaurant (which we highly recommend!) I have stayed four times now and it never disappoints. Add in super helpful staff and a great breakfast, there's nothing to complain about.

The deposit on the credit card was ridiculously high. I always pay the total price in advance anyway. We understand they don’t charge you. Still, very high compared to other hotels in our experience.

Beautifully decorated Room size was good compared to other hotels in France. Very clean Bathroom was amazing: Great Shower and bathtub. Excellent water pressure. Very comfortable mattress-firm Clean and soft bed sheets Convenient parking space (you have to book in advance) Less than 10 min walking distance from the cathedral and centre of town. Perfect location. Very kind, polite and professional staff We will return for sure Great for couples, families and individuals travelling alone. We didn’t try the breakfast or restaurant. Not sure how good it is or if it’s overpriced. The bar area was very welcoming and we saw families and all type of people enjoying themselves. I would give this hotel 9 rating out of 10.

The lighting in the rooms was a bit dim, if I search for something to complain about.

All of the staff are very professional , kind and welcoming. The rooms were a bit small but very comfortable for a short stay. My son and husband dined at Le Georges and found the experience amazing . My daughter and I dined in Le Cour and found the food also fantastic, just more to our taste for less exotic options. Our server was excellent at assisting my daughter in selecting items which were adjusted to be gluten free for her without making her feel uncomfortable about her allergy. The walk to view the cathedral with lighting at night was more spectacular than expected.

Absolutely nothing

The hotel was very charming. We enjoyed the cozy bar for a drink before dinner. Dinner in the lovely hotel restaurant was delicious. And breakfast in the morning offered many choices.

When we arrived we were made feel very welcome. The receptionist was so helpful, friendly and good humoured as was the porter. He parked our car and brought our luggage up to the room. They set a high standard for our visit and we weren’t let down. The spa was very relaxing after a long day walking. Breakfast was good as expected. The bar is very cosy with a good atmosphere, particularly when watching France play rugby and win in the world cup.

The AirCon in the room was poor.

Wonderful location, easily accessible, Check in and out was swift, parking was easy and staff friendly and knowledgeable. Would come back in a heartbeat.
