Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNot enough umbrella's in rooms as it can rain heavily.
Friendliest arrival we have ever encountered and our stay at the resort just got better and better. Amazing friendly and attentive staff, beautiful Bure facing the most amazing view across the sea and spectacular sunsets. Pool area and restaurant allow the same spectacular views. Restaurant meals were excellent with entertainment from the resort staff members. Free kayak and paddle boards to use to explore the bay, a trip to Cloud 9 is a must, snorkel trip to nearby reefs, Fiji time happy hour (2 hours) in the bar next to the ocean. So much to do but also, if you just want to relax, it's also a great place to do it. It's adults only and I really enjoyed that for a change. Can't recommend Tropica Resort enough, even afternoon canapé with wine or beer delivered daily to your room. We will tell our friends about our beautiful experience there. A friend said she had never cried when leaving a resort before, but she did as she left Tropica. I think that says it all. We will definitely be returning.

United StatesIt wasn’t a traditional white sand beach, but the snorkeling and fish more than made up for it.
This resort had an amazing west facing location for sunsets right on some amazing coral drop offs for snorkeling, paddle boarding, and kayaking available throughout the day. The staff was unbeatable. The warmest welcome and the most friendly staff. Loved the excursions and activities offered like snorkel tours cloud 9 or sunset cruises. Overal such a great experience and you could not beat the view from Directly out front of your bure.

AustraliaWhilst not essential, we would loved to have had access to a gym. Also, the wifi is limited to the reception area only. Limited walking beyond the resort was a slight disappointment for us.
The Tropica has the most amazing views, especially at sunset. The staff were exceptional with every aspect of service catered for in a friendly and professional manner. The food was quite good, with the chefs keen to vary the selection according to individual needs.

AustraliaNot that it was an issue, we should have done more research as it wasn’t detailed in reviews. No wifi or tv in room (wifi only available at reception area)… therefore when the restaurant closed at 9/10pm, we were trying to find things to do.
Property was well kept, beautiful scenery, spacious room

AustraliaFood was a bit pricey and not many options in vegetarian. They didn't always stick to the activity schedule but that's ok since it was a relaxed vacation and lots of water activities to explore by yourself.
Good friendly staff, great rooms, comfortable stay. Adults only was a bonus. Beautiful sunset views at happy hour.

New ZealandThis was ment to be be a lush holiday after a difficult year for us. To say we’re disappointed is an understatement. The room was NZ$1100 per night and really wasn’t worth the money. Our room was basic but OK (we changed rooms because first room wasn’t what we booked), food was really hit and miss (Fiji night was phenomenal but otherwise food was pretty basic and not brilliantly done), basic maintenance was really lacking…our private pool was quite scummy until they cleaned it on the last day. Overall I’d say this place has been allowed to get pretty run down during COVID lockdown but they seem to be slowly trying to sort the place out. Leaving old gas califonts sitting in cartons on the lawn for days on end is pretty slack…The staff seem to be trying to do their best but it’s all a bit tired and the service and offerings do not warrant the big price tag. It’s definitely not what we expected and for us was well over priced for the level of accommodation delivered.
The location was magic. Reef and lagoon was lovely.

United KingdomI got food poisoning from the coconut & pumpkin soup. I was very sick afterwards. I had to pay for the medicine & for the dinner that made me ill at the end of my stay. Which I would have thought they would have comped considering how sick I got. I also was not informed of a turndown service. I woke up frightened from someone entering my room. I had been travelling for 36 hours and was sleeping. I didn’t hear the knock just when someone was in the room. Frequently, the air would smell of sewage and it was very unpleasant. You are told you can not drink the water from the tap & you get a tiny 250 ml bottled water complementary, but have to pay for bottled water. I found this resort to be very greedy and I personally didn’t enjoy myself. I did get violently sick & I lost a part of my relaxing vacation recovering from food poisoning. I don’t like leaving a bad review, but my holiday was so bad!!
The island was stunning. It does look like paradise. When I arrived, the little bulas were very cute & clean and the private pool was very luxurious. The resort was very beautiful and manicured on the outside. The staff were friendly and lovely.

Quiet, Peaceful, Beautiful, Tranquil. All the staff were absolutely lovely and made you feel so special even to the Farewell when everyone of them came to say goodbye and sang as I was taken by boat until you couldn’t even see them anymore. Very special and I highly recommend Tropica Island if you want a relaxing holiday or private honeymoon Bure on the beach looking at the beautiful water on this adults only resort. great meals at night with a menu that changes daily. New Zealand"WARNING" "WARNING" We have been charged twice for our stay. When we contacted them they been very slow to respond. They then came back and said they can only refund $2k per day. We have been double charged xtra $14,000 and dont have the money to pay our credit card. Last week they came back and said they will refund but can only do $2,000 per day and that they have started crediting our account . My wife contacted them again today as no money is showing. They are now saying its not double charged. We have emailed our credit card which clearly shows that we have been double charged. Its very disapointing as we have been lied to.
