Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaEverything was amazing. They helped us when we needed any assistance or room service
Our extended family loved the location on the Blue Lagoon, the delicious meals. ( No compulsory meal plans 👍) and the activities included cave trip, island hopping, village visit and snorkeling. At night we enjoyed Fiji Meke, Karaoke and crab races. I also love the day spa and visited 3 times for very affordable treatments. We definitely would like to return one day.

AustraliaIn one word - nothing.
Continental breakfast was included in the price ... it had everything needed. Hot additions could be purchased for a very reasonable price. The menu for lunch and dinner changed everyday which was a fantastic as you were excited to see what was on the menu for the day. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The location was fabulous. Activities fabulous. Staff extremely helpful and friendly - they went out of their way to assist. My family summed it up as being 10 out of 10 for a true Fijian Island experience.

CanadaThe jacuzzi in the Honeymoon suite was not working. The water did not warm up and by the last day of our stay, it was getting green and algae-looking. Also, the toilet paper could be more stocked in the room.
The property was very quiet and the facilities were clean. We booked the Honeymoon suite (not honeymooners) and it was like we had the place to ourselves. The staff were exceptional. Friendly at very accommodating. The food was outstanding! We loved that there was not a compulsory meal plan like the next property we went to. A continental breakfast was included in the booking (it was excellent) and then you could order off of the menu for lunch and dinner (from a couple of choices). You only paid for what you ordered and I feel more properties in Fiji should offer this. Also, Nanuya has Happy Hour every day at 5 and we missed that at the next property. Special recognition for Dommy, George, Bill and his co-singer, Tui, and Lucy in the spa.

Wow what a place:-) the staff is extremely friendly and the resort is beautiful. We felt welcome from the first moment and throughout the stay. If you want to see a piece of paradise this is clearly the place. The rooms are very comfy. Whats even more great is that the resort dpes not have too many bures giving it a very different touch. Would love to head back there again

New ZealandFantastic staff who made us feel extremely welcome from the time we arrived till the time we departed. The resort is very well cared for and was always kept very clean. We were just blown away with the level of service and amazing attentiveness of all the staff. We were also amazed with the level of the food that was provided during our stay.

New ZealandExpensive. Grumpy owners who were openly obnoxious to staff in public. Poor leadership from management when there was a wild fire which potentially threatened the resort.
Really friendly staff. Great live music every night. Quiet and relaxing. Stunning location. Good food.

AustriaThere is nothing to complain. Just make sure you organise your trip from the mainland to the island before booking flights. The boats only leave the mainland in the morning and the other options (seaplane, helicopter) are expensive although worth the experience.
This is a perfect place. Staff is amazing, location is a stunning paradise. A lot of activities available and the beautiful beach is there to relax. Food is great and the atmosphere is familiar, calm, very relaxing and yet heaps of fun.

IrelandI know there was a big wall placed in front of the resort and the beachfront was removed which is a pity but the beach a couple of minutes walk away is gorgeous (I also think this was for environmental reasons)
THE STAFF!! they are amazing and remember every guest making it feel so personal. Access to water activities, lots of day trips - staff went out of their way to get us to a village tour when it was not scheduled. Beautiful surroundings - . Loved the rooms - although prone to lots of bugs at night! Food was pretty decent - if possible get your food included in your stay as it can rack up.

AustraliaThe only thing missing to make it perfect is a pool ... at low tide the swimming options were limited due to rocks/coral/seaweed.
Loved the community feeling within the resort, we were made to feel like family. Excellent service levels, activity options, very relaxing.

AustraliaWe didn’t like the way the white male owner spoke to staff. I was also concerned by the environmental management of the resort with solar panels in disrepair and waste being burnt.
The Fijian staff were lovely. The food, accommodation, activities, etc were all excellent. We felt very welcomed.

CanadaNothing to report!
It was an absolutely lovely stay. We stayed in Love shack bure; it’s bit away from the rest of the room and it felt secluded; it’s right on the water and we could swim right from there. Airco worked well but even without it the breeze and fan should be enough it for comfy sleep at night. Food was great, staff was fanstastic, wonderful entertainment (thanks Vata) and great snorkeling tours. It felt personal at Nanuay, as it’s only 17 huts and so it doesn’t feel like you are in a large resort where it’s kinda impersonal; you get to know staff by name and get to talk to everyone, we really liked that. It’s not crowded. There is a lovely walk you can do over the island. Ocean is lovely, it can be shallow in the low tide but still swimmable. Blue lagoon is a short walk away and it’s white sand beach, lovely. We had great snorkeling with Vilimoni. Staff sings wonderfully ! It was a great getaway. We want to Matamanoa resort after and while it’s one more star and feels fancier, I can’t say it beats Nanuya !

New ZealandThe food fell a bit short of our expectations in comparison to other resorts in the area. The beach was also not the best but we were able to Paddle Board and found a lovely one half a kilometer away.
Nanuya Island resort is absolutely gorgeous! Our Treehouse Bure was adorable and we spent a ton of time on the balcony just enjoying the view. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomLong boat ride to get there but totally worth it!
The most wonderful place to stay and relax enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The staff made us feel at home and all activities including kayaking, sups and snorkeling was at your finger tips. You can do as little or as much as you like here - there isn't beach on the resort at high tide but there is Blue Lagoon Beach a very short walk (5 mins) and this didn't bother us at all as there are entry ways to the shallow sea in front of the resort and beautiful cabanas with loungers. The views from the treetop bures was beautiful!
