Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandRooms dated and mattresses thin. Electricity only available at certain times but that added to the rustic experience. Bring cash
Extremely quiet spot with only a handful of rooms. There was only 1 other couple there during our 2 nights. You have the whole beach to yourself. Staff were a big part of the trip. Couldn’t recommend spear fishing at night more. One of my all time favourite memories. Ring making and trips to the caves also recommended. Food was traditional and tasty. Accommodated pescatarians.

United KingdomCash only. If you didn't bring enough they will take you to a neighboring island where you can get cash but best to avoid the hassle if you can.
Everything was perfect and we loved every minute of it. It's a family homestay so if you want a taste of the real Fijian life you won't be disappointed. It has limited internet (patchy 3g only) and electricity so if you want fancy restaurant food, air con, and comfort perhaps it's not for you. The food was home-cooked and very tasty. Only 6 rooms were available on the island so it was a very intimate experience to interact with the other guests, the staff, and the neighboring villagers who were all super friendly and welcoming + the beach is so wide you always felt you had it all to yourself. The snorkeling in the house reef (a short boat ride or a good swim away) is the best I have done so far in Fiji!

AustraliaFor the price they charge it’s worth every penny or even more. If they can fix few plumbing issues and flush issues that would be great. The boat ride experience could be improved. These are very minor ones considering the experience and feel we get in the property.
Staffs actually it’s family run and food they prepare are fresh and home grown or freshly caught. Daily fresh fruit drinks unlimited that even we don’t get in best resorts for a mere 50 FJD per person. They even allowed my child to eat free. Not money minded people very genuine and one of the best outlook of positive authentic Fiji experience. Though they have limited in hand they try to give best they can to guests. Good place to socialise with fellow travellers and village people. Village is fantastic. 4 days went in a flash. They ensure safe and secure stay of guests even cautioning and look out in advance.

AustraliaWe really liked the connection between the family and their guests, you‘re really included and they are super friendly, funny and helpful if you ever need anything. They let you experience the Fijian culture and let you get an authentic insight in the life on Fiji Islands. If you’re planing on staying here, you definitely have to go snorkeling (40F$) at the Blue Lagoon, the fish variety is amazing! The stay itself is definitely not something for fancy resort visitors but if you‘re open for an authentic experience and get to know the people who live here, it‘s just the right thing for you and you will definitely have a great time! (and learn how to open a coconut by yourself!)

Loved the silence, there's no music or generator during the night. The staff did everything they could to make our stay more comfortable. At the end we felt like friends/family. Loved the coconut demo 🥥

AustraliaLong Beach family was the best part of our travel to Fiji just so lovely and caring! The beach is beautiful and snorkelling just amazing! Blue lagoon is just short trip by boat, from there you can get some snaks from the minimarket even if the food offered was just enough and delicious! Thanks Kasa and family we loved you

AustraliaThey told me prior to my stay that the power was only off between 11pm and 6am but the reality was that the power was only on from 6pm until 10pm. My bathroom had cockroaches and there were holes in the fly screens so wasps kept coming in. They also advised prior to me staying that they would be happy to take me by boat to get cash out at a nearby ATM but forgot to mention it would cost me $60FJD to take the trip and as they are a cash only resort, I didn’t really have a choice! Overall, I just felt the communication was poor and I never would have booked the accommodation if they were truthful about the power.
The food was amazing

We truly felt on vacation on this beautiful island, the food was very good and the activities entertaining. The warmth and hospitality of the staff made our time on this beautiful island truly unforgettable. For those seeking an authentic Fijian experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Long Beach Resort.
