Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI was given wifi codes or any explanation of where things were when I got there. The morning reception were lovely and informative though :-)
Beautiful spot and a lovely cool respite from Suva City. Loved listening to the birds at dawn and dusk.

Excellent value for money especially for those wishing to visit the nearby park. I'd advise them to provide more self catering amenities for the best note from me.

New ZealandThere was nothing I didn't like. I came prepared with insect repellant, and got bitten by mosquito just once.
The staff are very friendly and the facilities are clean. The food at the restaurant was lovely as well. The rainforest setting is magnificent. For the price I paid, it exceeded my expectations.

FijiLoved that it was driving distance to the city without all the hustle and bustle of city life. Also, I’ve always had to book more than 2 rooms in other places to accommodate my family but the Bure that we eventually booked here had enough room for my entire brood of 8. That was quite a treat.

FijiChecking in at reception was a nightmare, didn’t know what she was doing. Check in was at 2pm, but have to wait for room service to clean up. We check in after 5pm. The shower head and water pressure was so little, can’t barely have a decent shower. I hope these too areas get fixed. Swimming pools was not cleaned daily. The price per night was not up to standard. So I think it was a rip off and over priced.
Self contained kitchen, spacious ground floors all around. It was surrounded with lush green Forrest, so quiet, hearing native birds chirping.

United States- Bathrooms were a bit old and dirty, but manageable. - Rooms were super basic. This wasn't an issue for us, but it felt like a dorm room. We did have a cute balcony over the pond right outside of our room. - We didn't venture out, but the location did seem a bit isolated and may require a taxi to get to a supermarket or restaurant.
- Very nice staff who were helpful with all questions before and during our stay. They provided a taxi estimate that was very helpful when commuting from the bus station to the lodge. Some very friendly stray dogs were around and seemed to be treated well. - Great restaurant that's located on a pond. It had a varied menu and was able to cater to vegans and vegetarians. - Cool location that really did feel like it was in the middle of a rainforest.

AustraliaDidn't have some food and drink items on the menu. I felt very sorry for the dogs trailing us or sitting directly outside the door of our studio - but it wasn't pleasant to have them there. Decor is looking in need of an update and cold showers were not appreciated in the weather we had.
Food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff very helpful, sitting outside looking over the water is nice. Studio rooms were private and clean and despite proximity to the road, reasonably quiet. Had a lovely walk in the nearby Col-i-Suva rainforest. Very beautiful and only a short walking distance to the entrance from the lodge.

AustraliaFirst night had some drunks staying who came in between midnight and early morning yelling and then throwing up. This could happen anywhere so it is not something worth complaining about. The rest of the nights were quiet. The beds were a bit soft for us but may suit others. The TV didn’t work, but we were tired after big days so it did not matter.
Ideal location for us, close to the ticket office and entrance to the Forest Park and easy to get in and out of Suva by local bus. Also easy to get to and from the airport. There is a pool which (we did not use) and a restaurant and bar with friendly staff and a range of dishes to suit most people. All staff are very friendly and helpful, including organising a very early morning taxi to get to the Levuka ferry. The restaurant and bar look over a waterhole fringed with tall trees so you can see various birds that are otherwise quite hard to see in the forest park. A word of warning - there have been robberies and muggings in the forest park. Take advantage of the offer of a security guard/guide to stay safe. They have caught and dealt with recent thieves so now thieves know to stay away as it is no longer easy pickings. Good place to come back to after a big day out in the forest park since it is so close, or Suva.

AustraliaWhile we loved staying here unfortunately my wife was "attacked" by mosquitoes in the room on our second night leaving both her arms covered in bites and very uncomfortable for quite a few days afterwards. In spite of burning coils and having the overhead fan on all night, mosquito nets for the beds would have been great and prevented her discomfort!
Beautiful location on the edge of the Colo-I-Suva forest park which we accessed by walking down the road and then followed trials to the waterfall for a swim (about 45 min walk form lodge). The views across the water and through the forest from the room's balcony were delightful with lots of great plants, birds, and insects in the surrounding forest. The lodge is about a 10- 15-minute taxi ride from downtown Suva (F$10 - 15) depending on time of day - avoid "peak-hour" b/w 7.30 - 8.30 am. The restaurant was great and staff super helpful.

FijiThe back door wasn't locked well and could easily be opened. It was a bit concerning, even though it was checked by the staff, it was the same, so I wasn't satisfied, however I did not allow that to spoil the weekend.
I needed quiet, so it was perfect. Love that the budget room has a fridge, so that worked well for me.
