Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe bathroom could have been a little cleaner
The resort is perfect for single travelers because you can easily meet new people. It’s right at the beach and kayaks are free for hire! Staff is friendly and there are free mediation sessions which I loved.

CanadaThe dorm was very hot, even with the fans on full. noisy gals coming in each night way past midnight all sauced up didn't help either, so I never got a good sleep. The place did have a bit of a party vibe. And catered more to the 20something crowd I'd say. Be nice to have a charger near my bed on the top bunk. There were only a total of 4 outlets for the whole room of 6. my light was also burnt out. Lockers due to their strange design I was unable to lock with my padlock. Just these little things could be improved, for what was one of the most expensive dorms I've ever stayed in, outside of a futuristic pod in Japan. Still worth it for the lovely beach setting though! food was just ok. and gets a bit expensive with no where else to go.
the setting is beautiful along the palm-lined coastline with nice swimming and surfing(further out) at high tide. During low tide the water all gets sucked out of the bay, so to swim you're gonna have to use the pool, which was nice too. Plenty of hammocks and beach chairs to enjoy the day. A free, morning meditation was offered and very enlightening, so I recommend that! For the most part, a great place to stay for a couple nights between other places. Beautiful outdoor bathroom attached to dorm was a pleasant surprise.

AustraliaThe only thing I could 'dislike' was my room did not have a fridge. That said, the owner laughed and said he was just in the process of getting the last few picked to go into my room and one or two others. In fact, my driver picked them up after dropping us at Nadi International as I was returning home. I struggle to find any aspect of the Beachouse that was not excellent value and better than expected for the price point and resort style!
The place is run professionally and cleanly with attention to the little things that make you feel like a part of the family. On the first day I was lucky enough to meet the owner who is a friendly and helpful host who really takes the time to know the guests and interact. Guest satisfaction is demonstrably the Beachouse Resort's driving priority. Whether it is food, special requirements, activities, transfers/transport, massage, surfing, island trips, fishing, hiking, weaving, snorkelling, kayaking or just relaxing by the sea and pool in the pristine and relaxed beachfront area. The cocktails are fine and the atmosphere is one where you feel comfortable and welcome from the moment you pull up a seat. I liked everything and my expectations were far exceeded for the value point!

New ZealandAwesome vibes. The staff are all amazing and friendly. Stayed in the dorms and got the one with the ensuite bathroom which was awesome. Resort vibes but with a backpacker younger crowd. Breakie is simple but nice. I went for a surf out the front, not an amazing break but they sometimes do boats out to other breaks. I went out with Eroni to do spearfishing and it was amazing. The reefs were stunning. Loved my stay here.

CanadaThe food is good but menu could be a little more varied. Try including real fijian cuisine not just to satisfy western tastebuds. Rotate continental breakfast menu so those who are staying for a week or longer are not always having toasts and peanut butters for days

New ZealandEven better if the resort shows clearly how it cares for the local environment. It may do but it is not obvious. Phasing out plastic water bottles with refilling one's own would be a good start.
Friendly helpful staff. Great range of relaxing hammocks. Great for this vegan to find plant-based milks on the breakfast buffet.
