How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The picture on booking.com is enhanced compared in personal. Shower knob needs to be repaired. Wall sockets are loose. Toilet seat is not on proper level.
I like the staff, they are so hospitable.

No complaints.
Basic hostel accommodation, offering borh beds and bunks in large dorm rooms. I had booked a single room with two bunk beds, which included a fan and a basin with faucet. Quite satisfactory. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostel is one short block from the delightful Wailoaloa beach, and plenty of breafast, lunch and dinner options on the same street. Also, the hostel's sister property nearby has a pool that is available to Bamboo guests.

Very poor Wifi , bed linen had holes on it and heavily used! rooms were so hot without a proper airconditioning

Close to bars and restaurants, so it can be slightly noisy in the night. The closest beach (2 minutes walking) is not nice
It is well located close to other hostels, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. The facilities are fair enough; and clean. 20$ to get to the airport which is 20 minutes away

The rooms and the bathroom isn't great but you don't pay much either.

Room for the “pods” is sooo small and I’ve met a girl got bits (possibly from bedbugs) all over her body. Not the best location if you wanna go to town but you can ask the texi to stop at town centre on the way from the airport to grab something if needed. Nearby beach not good for swimming but great sunset.
Great staff and good social vibes. People who are working there are really kind and trying everything to help! Glad they put me at the nearby Bluewater lodge which has better facilities. There is a good restaurant next door with reasonable price. There is money exchange office nearby which is convenient. Good rates. Airport is also not bad to do some exchange. There is kava drinking almost every night and it is really fun to join, singing, dancing, socializing, great place to meet people! Loved it! Thank you to all the amazing staff!

There’s nothing basically, for the money charged I think they doing their best to give justice !
Great if you want to be close to the beach. The staffs are very friendly, and lots of activities to be done. Money value, staffs go out of their way to make sure that the guests are happy and safe. I stayed for more than 20 nights.

It was hot and we didn't have aircon but we already knew that so not property's fault

Great place to meet like-minded travellers. Bamboo staff organized for us small cultural things such as local Nadi music festival or kava tasting. Great location near the airport. Access to pool at next door property. They also can book family stays at the islands for you. But the highlight of my stay was Elenoa F who went above and beyond for me to feel taken care of. Vanaka!

A decent place to stay near the airport. Friendly staff, decent sized room, did the job. We stayed here 1 night before heading to Yasawa Islands. Would recommend wandering the short walk to Vasaqa restaurant for delicious smoked meat!

Can be hard to sleep, can be loud as near the bars (not an issue for me as I was in them ;) ) ,bugs in rooms and no aircon (can have aircon for higher fee) only real issue is bugs in room!
Staff were amazing and extremely accommodating, lots of activities to do, good location near to airport!
