Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Sir Victor is in a good location. It is a stylish hotel. The breakfast was reasonably good. The family room was very spacious.

PortugalHard to navigate the lighting and when I messaged them on WhatsApp asking for help, no answer (even though they claim to be “on call”). Messaged about something else, no answer. Weird layout of room with bathroom far away from sink. Food at the rooftop was not good and disappointing. Bathrobes made out of denim?! Very uncomfortable. Very thin walls- we got woken up multiple times.

Czech RepublicBathtub Silicon: The bathtub's silicone lining was blackened and covered in mold, raising serious cleanliness concerns during my stay Toilet and Bathroom Configuration: The layout of the room's toilet and bathroom raised some concerns. The absence of a sink in the toilet area is rather inconvenient. In cases where one needs to wash their hands after using the toilet, this necessitates a journey across the room to access the bathroom sink. This disjointed arrangement is both impractical and unhygienic. The room's lack of bathroom doors: was a significant problem. It made me uncomfortable, especially when having visitors, as it compromised the basic need for personal space and privacy. The extremely strict check-out policy was a downside. When I requested a 30-minute extension for check-out, the staff's response was almost hostile, which was disappointing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent breakfast and the hotel's perfect location. Additionally, the comfortable bed was a standout feature that I truly appreciated.

It was a great pleasure to stay at the Sir Victor. Location was perfect. Design of the hotel and the room fantastic. Great and big beds, nice balcony with table and chairs. People from the stuff was very friendly and helpful. Tarace on the roof was great and sunny with fantastic bar and many sun beds. The tarace pool wasn't big but it was enough to have fun. Kisses for Marta from the Tarace Bar stuff. It would be fantastic to come back again.

United KingdomWaiting for lifts - it’s a popular party destination and there was a rooftop bar that we couldn’t always get into. We had breakfast one morning and was charged for having 4 cooked breakfasts although only one of us ordered it. We also had a message from Reception saying see you tomorrow on the day of check in just as we were starting to fly which really panicked my anxious teenager. They had obviously got the booking date wrong and we asked for reassurance and heard nothing. The sliding door in our bedroom between toilet and bedroom didn’t close properly and the corridor carpet had clearly seen better days!
The location of the hotel was great and so was the quality of the furnishings and bed linen etc.

United StatesThe concierge service was friendly but very poor follow through and most of the plans with them fell through and we had to make other arrangements. The rooms needed better lighting.
The location was terrific for walking to almost everything we wanted to get to and was very safe. The staff was incredibly friendly and polite. The room needed better lighting but was roomy (we had a suite) and comfortable. Breakfast in the dining room was very convenient for our busy schedule.

United KingdomBreakfast was awful, wasn’t included in room price so 32 euros each which would be fine if it was good. Buffet was very poor, hardly any selection of anything. Service very slow and the hot food was cold when it came, undercooked and just generally uneatable. There is a little bakery down the road, go there. The pool is tiny. It’s nice for a rooftop bar but not for sunbathing or swimming if that’s what you was hoping for. Service up there is slow and unfriendly, very busy always with people not staying at the hotel.
Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Hotel was modern and attractive. Centrally located, easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. Room Was nice and spacious and very comfortable, but view out the back is shocking.

United KingdomRooms could do with better decor Ordered a £9 fruit salad which only had 3 types of fruit in it - banana melon and 2 pieces of pineapple, expected better from a 5 star hotel. The images on booking.com don't show which room you book that accurately. Have to ensure you message the property to ask for balcony because even though the booking states a balcony room it's not guaranteed. we were told the breakfast hours were 7:00-11:30 but on the day we checked out (weekend) they didn't open till 8am and we had a taxi booked for then so we couldn't have breakfast - wouldn't have minded if we were informed properly. weren't informed that we had to book a slot for the pool but luckily it was available when we wanted to go.
