How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

As has been mentioned before the soundproofing needs to be improved, the adjoining room occupants were not noisy but we could hear the tv and even talking.

it’s a lovely location we’ve stayed here before a great overnight stopover , exactly what we’d want easy walking distance to Alcossebre and excellent value. the staff are friendly, the rooms really clean, lovely shower, nice views of the sea and very nice inclusive breakfast

One of those typical small family run hotels we love so much. Clean, comfortable, quiet and welcoming. Great breakfast served in the garden overlooking the sea. One of the great advantages is that the Restaurant D'Irta by Modesto Fabricat is within the hotel. We had the most amazing vegetarian lunch and dinner there especially made for us by Modesto Fabricat on their beautiful terrace.. Would definitely return.

Great little family run hotel. Comfortable clean rooms. Sadly the restaurant wasnt open on the day we stayed so we took the 10-15 min walk down to restaurants and the beach

My room was above the kitchen of the downstairs restaurant and as such it was like a furnace, the landing area outside my room was filled with the heat and smell from the kitchen, the heat did not dissipate throughout the night although there was air conditioning. This meant that although the bed was very comfortable I barely slept.
The location was good, easy to find as I was driving and far enough away from town to be quiet. Walking distance to the town was approx 20 minutes and is an easy walk. The town is very cute with a huge choice of restaurants and the beach was very popular with families. The restaurant at the hotel was serving good food and the staff were very amenable and welcoming. Parking on site is essential as I am on a motorcycle and there was plenty of space to park.

Of course, we must stay at the level of expectations for a small rural hotel. No luxury here, but this was not a problem for us.
Nice small hotel. Excellent value for money. Ideal for a short stay in Alcossebre.

Couldn't get a proper night's rest, as no acoustic insulation, we could hear noisy neighbours (you could especially hear everything happening right next door). They brought a remote heater in the room but it wasn't doing a great job, the room was mostly cold and the "duvet" were similar to old wool rugs and a sheet over it. Not hygienic or warm. Lots of particles in the air when we made the bed in the morning..."Breakfast" disappointing. Just one slice of toast with butter and one croissant. That's it. Most annoyingly, they taken the table cloth away from the table so that you don't stain the table cloth. Then they put it back on the table once breakfast done, for their paying restaurant guest. I found this rather distasteful to be honest.
Accommodation was affordable and rather clean overall. Safe parking on site.

Photos of the hotel do not show the busy road at the foot of the terrace - windows are single glazed and traffic noise was a problem for me. Walls also seem very thin - I could hear everything from my neighbours' room next door - their TV was also disturbing. Wifi was not strong enough.
Breakfast was good - toast, croissant, orange juice and coffee. Parking was easy, plentiful and I felt safe leaving my car there - as a solo, female traveller, I also felt safe overnight. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. View from the balcony was lovely.

It would be nice if there was a swimming pool. That’s really the only negative I can find! It’s a lovely hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is in a charming location with amazing views out to sea. It feels like a rural retreat but is still close enough to walk into town whenever you want. The cute balconies on each room are a nice touch.
