Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryNo dislikes, just a couple suggestions: cushions for the patio chairs would be a nice addition, and having a full coffee set up in the room would be lovely. (There is a kettle, but the cups, etc., are in the lobby).
Everything was a 10! The warm welcome from Daniella, the architecture, the location.

IrelandThere was nothing that I disliked really. Be aware that this is a historic building and so an elevator is not permitted. If you have a lot of luggage or do not like stairs, perhaps request a ground floor or first floor room. As in every old town area, there are going to be building renovations going on somewhere nearby, so be prepared for some noise in the distance. My experience of the hotel was that it was very quiet and peaceful.
This hotel far exceeded my expectations! A+++ The location was ideal - not far from the railway station and close to the old town. This beautiful 19th-century mansion, now a charming hotel full of beauty and character provided a haven of peace and tranquillity. Just what I needed. I had a top-floor room with a large terrace which was wonderful in the evening, allowing me to enjoy the sunsets and a cup of tea before bed. Gentle breezes, far away city noises, and this charming hotel made for a wonderful stay! Magic! The bedroom was spacious, with high ceilings and a very large 'en suite'. It had authentic modernist furniture which added to the charm of this wonderful hotel. The terrace wrapped around two sides of my bedroom and it had a sun shade, table and chairs, as well as two sun loungers for sunbathing. There is a wonderful city skyline, especially in the evening. The room had strong wifi, a safe, and many electric plugs. The AC worked and a kettle and refrigerator allowed one to enjoy cool drinks and hot tea! From the moment I checked-in, I was treated with warmth, solicitude and kindness by Oliver and Claudia. The owners are a wonderful couple who have created an amazing hotel from a charming and historic 1920's home. Indeed, they make my stay by their warmth, welcome and cheer. I felt so at home here, and this was wholly due to Claudia and Oliver's care and kindness every time we met. They gave wonderful recommendations for local restaurants, and are gifted hosts. The hotel is in a part of Sitges with many fine restaurants and pizzerias within a few minutes of the hotel. Just walking around this area was a delight, and I quickly found my favorite dining spots for breakfast/brunch and dinner, and tended to revisit them! The bedrooms are cleaned daily by happy Gloria who keeps everything spick and span! Check-in was easy and Oliver and Claudia maintained excellent, clear communication, both before and during my stay.

AustriaMy girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much! 1) The manager Daniela was super friendly. She gave us tips for the area, helped us out with questions that we had & responded to us very quickly. In fact, she answered my messages quicker than my girlfriend does. :-D Checkin, checkout and further organisation were therefore effortless. 2) The interior is amazing. We particularly liked the furniture that is also visible on the pictures. We learned that most of it are restored pieces & this gives the rooms their particular charme compared to 'normal' hotels. The room was clean & the bed was comfortable, we slept very well. 3) Last but not least, the area was calm and also we were able to reach the beach in a short amount of time, while still being not far away from the train station. All in all a great experience, we can recommend it!

SpainThis is not a fault of the hotel, and to be fair they´re actively doing what they can to reduce the discomfort but, as it´s an old building and I went in winter the room was quite cold. There is heating in the room which I did use, and they do provide slippers in the room which is a very nice touch to keep your feet warm as the floor is tiled and got very cold. So, nothing else the hotel could really do about that, just some advice to anyone staying in the winter months.
The location is very convenient for the train station, tourist information as well as the beach and all the central things to do in Sitges. The lady at reception was very welcoming and friendly and showed me the communal coffee machine and where cups and glasses were stored if needed. Access in and out of the property was very easy with your own set of keys which made check out very easy just leaving them on the desk. The room and the bathroom were large and traditional in the decor, there were slippers which were very useful and soap/toothbrush and hairdryer provided. The room included a desk, mini fridge, safe and a kettle too and the balcony was exceptional! I was fortunate to have a corner, top floor room so the balcony wrapped around the entire room, had table and chairs as well as sun loungers and was a great place to chill after a day out.

United StatesThere is no elevator. I had no trouble but if someone needs assistance this could be an issue.
It is a home from the late 19th century that is now a hotel. There are rooms with balconies and the staff is amazing. People walking by will stop to look and appreciate at the architecture.

NorwayThe hotel itself was an extremely beautiful building with cute balconies. My room was on the ground floor and it was of course less pleasant experience since no balcony and the windows have bars... one time a random guy passing by just put his head through the bars into the room... you kinda always need to keep the windows closed which took away from the experience. But the staff more than compensated for that inconvenience.
The location is perfect. The staff is exceptional, friendly, welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Got checked in 3 hours before normal check in time and checked out a few hour after check out time.
