Lovely tranquil setting in the countryside outside Donostia and a short drive above Usurbil. We were made feel really welcome and comfortable. No dinner service - purely because the family were busy bottling the year's cider - on this occasion but a very generous breakfast provided at €6 per person.

Totally genuine place, real people, real place, real life. Amazing countryside in the hills yet 15mins from the sea. It's a great experience for a value place.

We were expecting breakfast but was told on the day we were checking in that they couldn’t make it for us - shops are 2.7km away and we were not expecting to purchase groceries.

A bit of a scary drive getting there, with narrow roads and steep inclines, but one quickly gets used to it. And the facilities are not exactly modern. But these did not detract from our enjoyment of our stay there.

An idyllic, peaceful, truly rural location with cool, clean mountain air and fantastic views. And the host family was exceedingly warm and hospitable. Nice breakfast too, with incredibly delicious farm-fresh fruit juices!

Little tricky roads up (and down) to hill, into hotel.

Truly great view hight on a hill side. Animals, basket ball field, football field for kids. Cider house for adults.

No reading lights beside the ed.

Location is as the name says, RURAL! Can in reality only be reached by car. Entrance is hidden from view. Friendly owner. Family Cider producer. So in autumn a lot of apples are processed with all the sounds and smells.

No personal interaction at all, the room was tiny, with the bathroom so small that we couldn't use the shower. We could not stand straight up. The toilet was in a corner in front of the sink, hampering the use of both. All comfort was missing, no night light, no abilities to eat. Nothing outside nor inside to sit and relax. We were overcharged for our 10 month old baby. Unless you directly would like to go hiking in the mountains, I suggest not to stay here. Visitors from that particular day were equally unimpressed.

Little, it was clean enough to sleep, and the family members/locals that helped us find the place. Sufficient parking. Owner was reachable by phone, but not via the number of Booking.com

Eveything was great!!

Warm welcome by José and his wife. We loved everything from our staying. Very child & dog friendly. And what an amazing view. Okay the rooms are a little bit old but it is so charming. Whenever we are back in Basque country we will stay there again. Very tasty Cider and Apple Juice.

It was nothing like the pictures. A very round down place, dirty and unpleasant. There is a code to open the room in an half abandoned house. We had no contact with the owners. Very depressing, not worth the value

The bathroom had mould and wasn’t properly cleaned and the room was very dark. We’d hoped to learn a bit about the place, try the local cider they make and maybe have a bite at the restaurant. The restaurant was closed and no one did a check in with us, even though the owners were there (they told us to read the email they’d sent us with details) working in the garden. Noisy at night as other guests came to their rooms so we didn’t sleep well.

I have no complaints about this place.

Very comfortable site with ample space to walk around. The breakfast was delicious, varied and a steal for the price. I can’t speak for the cider, but the mosta de manzana (? Or maybe just apple juice) was exceptionally good. I really liked the hosts - they were very friendly.

The location , no direction signs, diffucult to find … forget gps … rustic? I Will say careless, … sugestion is to bring your pillow and sleeping bag with You

Everything needed updating and some serious tlc. Kitchen was poorly equipped. No wine glasses, no bread knife, no mugs, no kettle. First aid kit was totally empty. No bedside lamps. No curtain at night over door window. Just didn't feel it was anywhere near worth 126€ for one night. Sorry because it was a really nice place. Just needs a deal of love and attention and and effort. Could be stunning, but sadly, isn't.

Everything was excellent.

Mattress was amazingly comfortable. Jose was lovely. He spoke perfect English. The evening meal and breakfast were fantastic. For dinner we had T bone steak plus starter and dessert, the cost was 19 euros each, a bargain. For breakfast, we had homemade yogurt, jam and apple juice plus eggs and bacon. Fantastic views. We will stay again. Thank you Jose.

PERFECT! Would definitely recommend it and go again. The views are spectacular and it's possible to go for very nice walks from it. The staff are incredibly helpful, nice and friendly.
