How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Beds very uncomfortable for the amount you pay for this room.
Can’t beat the location for access to the Alhambra Palace. The views from the terrace are beautiful. Walkable to downtown Granada and has bus stop in front of hotel.

This hotel is a must stay if you are in Granada. 5-10 minute easy walk to the Alhambra. The hotel staff were so kind, courteous, helpful, and professional. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Macarena and the gentlemen working the front desk were so kind and professional. If only that work ethic was still seen in hotels in America. Highly recommend this hotel. Food in the restaurant was great and the views spectacular. I miss it already!!!

The walls are a bit thin so you can hear people talking as you walk down the corridor, but that’s not a big issue!

It is a classic, even unique, old world experience. Had Hercule Poirot walked into the bar, I would have not have been the least surprised.

No ramps. Have to carry luggage up and down stairs. Human help would be good.

Breakfast poor. Would have expected an ‘a la carte’ option at €26 rather than a full self service cafe style. Even the tea and coffee was DIY. Poor for a hotel of this apparent quality. A little dated in parts.
Fantastic location. Reception staff outstanding. Wonderful character and architectural features.

All sweet
Second visit from 10 years ago {to the day] on a birthday treat and the hotel has remained as idyllic as before . All the trimmings are there and the staff excellent . Breakfast on the terrace and a courtesy celebration bottle was a nice touch . Thank- you .

Air con was working but even after asking at the front desk I was unable to take the temperature below 21, which for a country dwelling Englishman is quite toasty at night. No fridge in the room which would of been handy when travelling with a 1yo for milk/food etc. but cafe and restaurant downstairs.
Rooms were lovely, all modern and minimalist, also quite large. Very quiet even though our room fronted the street. Hotel was very clean in the room and communal areas. Staff all friendly especially the team doing breakfast which was great.

Shower over bath could be difficult for seniors.
Wonderful location for a tour of Alhambra. Also very close to a bus stop so accesible to the town. We were upgraded to a city view room which was very pretty at night. Meals were excellent. Best hot chocolate ever. Staff very friendly and helpful. Decor is elaborate.

Convenient location for walking around the city centre. The staff was helpful and friendly. We arrived by car, and found it easier to drive straight to the public parking garage vs stopping to unload.

Water pressure was not great in the shower.
Hotel had every facility I required. Beautiful buffet breakfast and terrace bar offered meals and bar snacks. Staff were very attentive.

Lovely room with small balcony. Ate in restaurant 1 night, very happy with the meal and opted to take breakfast on our leaving day which we enjoyed though a bit pricey we thought.
