All was good. A small thing perhaps. We had a side room view, which had a generous balcony. Below the belcony was a lot with construction material. Did not take away from the stunning view of the Nile but did surprise us at first.

There is lots to recommend this hotel. As others have noted, the staff are exeptional and really made our stay special. In particular, Mohammed in housekeeping, Tarek the breakfast buffet server, and Hani, the tour organizer, went well above and beyond! We travel a fair amount and have rarely had such consistently good and kind service anywhere. In addition, the hotel has other things to recommend it....the location is central and close to many reasonably priced restaurants (we never ate in the hotel itself so can't speak to that), the rooms are large and well ser up, and there is a lovely pool (which does not overlook the Nile but is close).

The only downside is the Japanese restaurant inside, which is not good and expensive; I don't recommend it.

Classic hotel, very chic, very comfortable rooms, and they even provide some complimentary fruits. The breakfast is amazing, one of the best we’ve had. The pool is very nice, and you can see the sunset over the Nile River, which is beautiful. You can also take a felucca ride to watch the sunset, which is a unique experience—you must do it! The internet works very well too, unlike the rest of the country. The location is also excellent; you can walk to the riverbank where there are many restaurants, and it’s also close to the Souk.

The taxi service is horrible. Always need to wait for 30 mins to call a taxi. Plus, it seems like the taxi service is linked with the taxi group outside of the hotel which charges 20 USD for a 30 mins ride whereas it normally costs around 8 USD. The taxi service is a total scam!

The bathroom seems to have an upgrade as it looks better than the photo. The room is big, comfy and clean. Breakfast is good and the hotel exceeds the standard. Very good value for money

The viewing deck which over looks the Nile River needs an upgrade. It is wasted space, which is not being utilised well.

Didn’t really cater for vegans. I could get a few items but the buffet breakfast isn’t really worth it if you’re vegan.

I arrived at the hotel and the location is excellent - by the Nile and close to the center of the city/Luxor Temple. I had to change rooms because it was a smoking room and their guest experience person Maviey quickly changed the room and gave me an even better room. She was super quick and attentive. They have multiple restaurants to choose from.

This is a stunning hotel located in the heart of Luxor, close to the major museums and temples. All the staff are very friendly and speak English very well. I was especially impressed with the receptionists Nardine and Catherine. I learnt that the Sonesta brand places emphasis on technological amenities and I had a really enjoyable jacuzzi/shower hybrid in my bathroom. The hotel boasts a great restaurant on the Nile which serves great food and the best hibiscus tea. I haven’t stayed in other hotels in Luxor but I would have a hard time betting against the Sonesta being the best hotel in Luxor.
