Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe WiFi did not extend beyond the main building. The cats were a real problem when eating breakfast and when one left the door open on the room. There were lots of mosquitoes but it wasn't an issue with repellent.
Helal, his family and his staff were excellent. The breakfast was exceptional. After a day exploring, the gardens are the ideal oasis within an oasis. The water in the shower was hot and the bed was very comfortable. I joined Helal and his family for an exceptional evening meal. It is one of my fondest memories of this trip to Siwa.

United StatesI loved Olive Garden House Siwa and really enjoyed my stay! The staff were very welcoming and it was clear that they wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time in Siwa. They helped connect us with a tuk-tuk driver during our stay as well as giving us great guidance and recommendations. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and thoughtfully prepared! The property is beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and evidently well taken care. The only things I would note are that the hot water for the shower can run out (especially if you have more than one person taking a shower after the other), it’s about a 20/25 minute walk to the center of town which was definitely doable - I felt safe walking at night, and the Wi-Fi only works in certain areas of the property.

Helal the owner of the place, he is natural in hospitality and this what makes this place great. He made me feel at home from the moment I stepped in the house garden. The name is so true, it’s a house and you become part of this house when you stay in it. I loved the story of how he built this place and it made me feel more connected to the place. The rooms are built on real old trees in order not to remove them which gives you a peaceful feeling and makes you connected with nature. It’s so quiet, calm and has a great vibe. Great place to stay at if you want to wind down and have some chill time. The fire pit is so cozy and makes people staying in the house connect together. Helal will also help you if you need anything else like if you need a driver or tours or to buys something, he will guide you.

United StatesI didn't like that I ran out of time and I had to leave. I actually loved it so much I ended up staying an extra night! Unfortunately I had to hit the road, but I will never forget this amazing place!
Egypt continues to amaze and Siwa was even more spectacular than I had even imagined. The manager Mr. Hilal and his wonderful staff invited me in and made me feel like family from the moment I arrived. He was very helpful with tours and transportation to get around. The reason I love this place is because it's just outside of town, so you aren't hearing traffic all day and night. And the property is so picturesque, I heard it described as an oasis inside of an oasis. And that sums it up perfect. There are beautiful plants and flowers and trees everywhere! If you are looking for a 5 star spa this is not it as far as that goes, but it does have all of the necessary requirements. Mr. Hilal was so generous he even invited me to have dinner with him, and the lamb was some of the most juiciest, tender meat I've ever had in my life. I cannot recommend this place enough folks!

SpainThis place surpassed all my expectations. It's beautiful and charming, with rooms and bathrooms impeccably clean and decorated in a delightful manner. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the tranquil surroundings ensured a restful sleep. Upon my early morning arrival, Abdo warmly welcomed me at the bus station. The entire staff, including Mr. Hilal, the owner, made me feel completely at home, cared for, and safe. I can't wait to return. I left a piece of my heart in Siwa and in this charming space. Thank you for everything :)

United Kingdom- I think this may be all of Siwa in general, but the wifi didn’t really work, so be prepared in case you need to work etc. - The garden is beautiful but it could do with some light at night. Perhaps some lamps or LED strips around the trees to make it feel more cosy and encourage more people to stay outside - On arriving, we flagged that our tap didn’t work but nothing was done about this so we just continued to use the shower to wash our hands. We mentioned this another two times and nothing was done about it. Perhaps there is a faulty pipe but this was a bit uncomfortable - There are some stray animals that enter the property which can’t be stopped, but the owner’s cat would ALWAYS come and bother you when eating. Even jumping up on you and trying to eat from the plate. This was quite frustrating for the guests, so perhaps it would be wise for the cat to be given its own food when guests are eating, as I never actually saw the cat being fed, and it would really avoid bothering the guests during breakfast etc.
We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Firstly, it’s a wonderful location, exactly between the centre of Siwa and all the nature spots to see (hot springs, salt lake). The rooms are beautiful, and the owner has built them keeping all the trees intact, with a wonderful nature vibe in the rooms. All the staff are wonderful, welcoming and friendly. The garden is beautiful and there is a stunning pool outside the new rooms. It’s a very serene place to stay. The owner and his family care so much for their guests and want them to be as comfortable as possible. We had an issue with our room close to the end of our stay and the owner immediately relocated us to a new room and ensured we were comfortable again. Finally, every night they cook a big meal which you can opt into, and the owner’s wife made a huge effort for me, cooking me some wonderful vegetarian food, since I don’t eat meat. We were very sad to leave and cannot wait for our return to celebrate new year one day :) we are 100% confident this is the best place to stay in Siwa.

United StatesI loved everything!
It is beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil. This is the perfect getaway from the city. I could just stay at Olive Garden and never leave. The rooms are built with the nature as seen in the photos. The trees are a part of the room and adds a unique ambiance. The property is amazing, but the best part of Olive Garden are Helal and Shimaa! They truly make the place special! They are so sweet and welcoming. They want you to enjoy your stay and to soak in the tranquility of Siwa. They have gone out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed and safe. I originally booked three nights, but I extended for three more nights. Honestly, I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend staying here if you want to fill yourself with peace and great people.

You can choose between an older and newer room. Both look superb. The staff is super super friendly and they'll help you with everything. They have a nice swimming pool, great breakfast, and the rooms are super decent. You can also join for dinner which will cost you around 4 to 6 euros pp and I highly recommend it. They have a nice garden as well. I highly recommend this place

Croatia-
We had exceptional time in this oasis within oasis. Helal and Shamiaa provide us with any information we asked for and organized two beautiful trips around Siwa. Ibrahim was an exceptional tuk-tuk driver that was even babysitting our child when we were exploring the mountain of dead. Meals we had were very tasteful and prepared with love. The room was spacious and the aircon was fully functional. You can rest in the garden and enjoy forever at this beautiful place. You'll definitely want to extend your stay once you get there. Helal.is very calm and he will gladly help you with whatever you need.

Belarus- renovation outside so no place to sit on the terrace or in garden, and workers working but soon would be wonderful. - mosquito net have to be fixed - AC is dropping the water and make such a noise every 25 seconds that u wake up if you swith it on at night )) maybe fan inside will help not to use much AC? - all plugs for electric is not holding so impossible to charge your phone)) We love this place and deffinately want to come back. Thanks again.
- So hospitable people working there, all from owners to drivers. Big thank you for your hospitality! And Helba drink! - let us use the kitchen any time and cook for ourselves - we chose time for breakfast and it has been cooked always fresh - AC in the room - many blankets and towels upon request - organise excursions - always ready to help and assist with anything and excursions. Personally I don't recommend going to the sand bath in Beduuine house) better salt cave in special beautiful building. But up to you) - hotel is far from cars and noise streets - big garden - provide electric stuff from mosquitos, which I think my husband took by mistake We will be back soon and bring it. Thank you, we have a wonderful stay.

IrelandEverything was up to standard. The bathroom may come as a shock to some non seasoned travelling - expect a rugged and natural experience when taking a shower - it was however clean and sanitary.
This Ecolodge is a hidden gem , secreted a shirt 10 / 15 minutes away from the city centre by TukTuk . All staff are friendly and welcoming including the driver, Mohamed. Our food was always amazing and breakfast was a mixture of tastes and textures . Tea was also regularly served along with water.
