Wonderful experience in the New Memnon. We are 3 women visited Egypt for the first time. The owner of the hotel welcomed us as if we were at home. He made us feel like we were part of his family. A grandiose welcome like we had never had before. He organized all our activities for us and it was amazing. The food is excellent and the staff very kind. The room is clean as well. I highly recommend and I will definitely come back. Thank you very much for everything, we will remember our stay here.

This was by far the best place I stayed at during my two weeks in Egypt. The host and owner of the place was very kind, always worried about providing us the best experience. He not only organized us a safe and customized tour to Karnak and luxor temple as he also prepared us great traditional meals with a special early breakfast in the day we moved out. I highly recommend, very quiet and pleasant hotel, close to main attractions and with very nice staff. I will definitely go back

We liked everything

The whole property is super quiet, nice. The location of the hotel is just perfect, close to Valley of the kings, and just 30 minutes away from Luxor international airport. Situated in an authentic part of Egyptian countryside. The swimming pool is also great (clean, etc) and restaurant is also serving great food. The whole staff was very good too. It worth beyond 10 out of 10

Nothing. A bottle of water in the room would have been handy on arrival as we were too tired to venture out. However, there is a fridge of drinks in the dining room and we were able to stock up and pay on check out.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely little hotel, in the peaceful west bank. Our room was simple, but immaculately clean and very comfy. Having had a very late lunch that day we didn't eat dinner, but the staff made us a delicious fresh juice that we had on the covered terrace/dining area. Breakfast was huge, and yummy! Our only regret was the one night stay, and we've already decided that this will be our base next time we're in Luxor.

The toilets need some maintenance, every time we had a shower there was water all over the floor. The floors looked like it could do with some good cleaning. Our suggestion would be to ask for poolside room bookings as the other ones literally had no view other than a overlooking a wall of the building next to it. Couple of friends in our group requested room cleaning but this was not done.

The hotel staff, food, and the outdoor space was absolutely fantastic.The hotel building itself had a homely touch throughout. Hotel owner Syed was very courteous. Even treated us with a platter of Ramadan special sweets which we very much appreciated. The food at the hotel is outstanding, mostly home made and delicious (especially the home made cheese and the cakes- absolutely delectable).Staff are all very friendly, kind and efficient (special nod to the kitchen staff). We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool- swimming under the open night sky itself was an experience. A word of caution though- the pool depth suddenly goes deeper and there are no signposts to flag this. This could be potentially dangerous for novice and unconfident swimmers. The outside dining area was also very relaxing and pretty- perfect place to enjoy your meal and a drink or two with your friends and family. One can also enjoy an early morning view of the hot air balloons flying right next to the hotel - if you time it right, the view can be stunning. The hotel is located right next to the Valley of the Queens and you can literally cover it walking. Overall we had a great time at the hotel and would highly recommend it.

The hotel is wonderful, with beautiful gardens, air conditioning, and a spectacular pool. Very well located, close to many attractions. The hotel has a restaurant that serves very fresh and delicious food. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and helped us with many things. Everything was excellent, I highly recommend it.

Minimal complaint only - no bidet in the toilet

Friendly and helpful staff. The owner of the hotel Mr. Sayed is warm and hospitable: He has good communication skills. He gave us complimentary garden view. He made us feel at home. He always made sure that everything is okay and that we were comfortable. He also recommended great activities. The hotel was very relaxing, it felt like you are at home. Also the food at the restaurant was clean and very tasty.

Nothing in particular, it’s going to be beyond your expectations.

Firstly I was impressed by the decoration and design of the hotel, it is very authentic and pretty, a very good place to stay in the historical city Luxor. Secondly, the owner Sayed and his staff was so helpful and friendly, the owner is a gentle and humble man, I am biased towards him. Then the food was so nice, we had a dinner extra to the breakfast, so good. 好吃，中国人不骗中国人。 Lastly the location is fabulous, it’s so close to the main sites. We had a very pleasant time there, my family and friends love it so much.

Cant think of anything we didnt like.

We felt like we had just been visiting family from the moment we arrived. The warm welcome after a long tiring night train journey there was much appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared each meal & both vegetarians & meat eaters were very impressed, feeling sustained long after eating. Mr Said went above & beyond driving my husband to a chemist for medicine when i didnt feel well on the 2nd day, which made a huge difference to the rest of the stay. The several tours he organized to the sights for us were superb & our guide Mansour, was highly informed, knowledgeable and entertaining. Our driver, Abdul, we were lucky to have for each of the 3 tours was also a gentleman and a total sweetheart. We made many friends and had pricless memories during our stay. The hotel itself was very clean, the views from the balcony over the gardens and pool were lovely & being close to the hot air baloon take off site made gorgeous skies early morning with dozens of them floating away. Cant thank them enough for a wonderful time there.

Everything was incredible. The location was fantastic. The facilities are perfect.

From the moment we entered the New Memnon we were met by Sayid who's calm and professional demeanour put us at ease. Sayid continued to go above and beyond to make our stay incredible. He arranged trips, transport and tour guides, all of the staff were professional and really friendly. This hotel experience was a place were friendships are started and you are treated like family. The entire staff were incredible, the food was the best from our extensive travel across Europe. The swimming pool was an oasis on the hot weather. All the sites where easily accessible. Sayid brought us to get anything we needed taking time from his busy day to ensure our comfort. I would highly recommend this experience.

The hotel is outside of downtown Luxor however it is very close to the main attractions like Vally of the kings. It is also extremely close to the Hot air balloon take off site....... The owner is always willing and able to render assistance. When we arrived in Luxor from Cairo the airline lost one of our team luggage. We tried to call on our own but were getting a story everyone. The owner took over the case and started calling and speaking in Arabic to the CSR and we were able to retrieve it after it was sent to Chad.........he even too us to the airport at 2 am to get the ba despite he was resting to begin fasting for ramadan Our flight arrived at 8am and we were allowed to check in early at no extra cost I would definitely stay here again..

Quiet place to stay and rest on the West Bank of Luxor , with beautiful garden, comfortable rooms and delicious, freshly made food from local sources. Everything is taken perfect care of, people working in the hotel are kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel is also very flexible with providing and organizing an affordable tours for guests, if they feel like. We really enjoyed our staying and highly recommend this place, if you really want to relax and simply have a laid back time.

Be careful to switch on the hot water before taking a shower, otherwise you will end up with a cold shower. I believe they do this to be energy efficient which is understandable. The sparrows in the balcony are cute, but they pooped all over the balcony chairs which need some deep cleaning.

The owner is super caring. He is always on the hotel grounds making sure that the guests are satisfied with the service. The restaurant food is delicious and cooked on site. They fully understood my gluten free dietary requirements. WiFi is good. Hot air balloons in morning were an extra bonus.

Located on walking distance to Memnon colossi, Rhamessium and Medinet Habu. You can find indrive to any place in Luxor. People were friendly, breakfast was very rich and the dinner (which we bought from hotel's restaurant after trying some other restaurants in Luxor) was the best in Town. We recommend you to have your dinner in the hotel. Also, have at least one evening in the hotel just to enjoy the sunset. Also, we had our 3yo daughter with us, and it was comfortable even with the kid. If we were to visit Luxor again, we would stay in the same hotel. It was quiet, relaxing, and we felt like home because it was our safe Zone in Luxor We highly recommend New Memnon Hotel!
