Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt's on a very busy street in a big city, so is quite noisy. (Our last day was the end of Ramadan, so the festival vibe was understandable.) We thought we'd have a better view of the pyramids, but you could see them a bit from the balcony.
Staff here were always looking for ways to make our stay better. They helped us book transportation from the airport, which was a relief. Breakfast is not buffet-style (they bring food to your table), which is good to try local cuisine, but we didn't love all the dishes. There are a number of food places nearby, if you can manage the onslaught of salespeople on your way. We walked to Rooftop 7000 and Upper Attract Cafe for meals with excellent pyramid views. All in all, what we got for the price at Nefertari was terrific.

Dear Nefertari! Thank you for all. We were very satisfied with everything: staff was very kind, and helpful. The room was cleaning, and comfortable. The transfer was accurated. The dishes were very delicious. So, if we go back to Cairo, we'll stay in this Hotel. I can easily recommand it to everyone. This Hotel and the staff are very reliable. Thank you for we were your guests.

EgyptThe food is not exceptionally special but it is homey and clean. Breakfast was still good.
Very resourceful staff. Very kind and friendly. The residential rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. Wifi is good. The roof is a very nice spot to relax and enjoy a tiny view of the pyramids. The staff, Aya, was kind enough to escort us on a tour to the pyramids and went out of her way to make sure we got the best out of the tour and the best value for money.

VietnamThe Nefertari Inn is a hidden gem... less than a 10 minute walk from the pyramid complex entrance gate. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water for the shower, fridge to keep your drinks cool and the aircon was quiet. We had breakfast on the roof terrace with a glimpse of the pyramids. Different breakfast every day and plenty of food. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. But what makes this property extra special is it's staff... everyone had a smile and wanted to help, nothing was too much trouble, they just wanted us to have the best time we could. They assisted us with our pyramid and sphinx tour and our trip to the museum - amazing. They also booked our onward travel to Aswan, Abu Simbal and a cruise to Luxor. Big thank you to all the staff at the Nefertiti Inn who made our trip even more unforgettable.

Although it doesn't look that nice from the outside, the hotel was really nice and comfortable. The room was absolutely clean, comfortable beds, plenty of everything for one night. We were fine with breakfast and the morning view was amazing. Dinner is easy to have in the near by area as well as shop for basics. I would recommend the taxi booked by the hotel.

United KingdomI stayed 5 nights here and it was a very good experience. The room is clean. It’s relatively quiet (by Cairo standard). The shower works well and you can choose the breakfast you like. But the best part of the hotel is the people. From the owner to the receptionists to the lovely ladies who clean the room and prepare breakfast. They are all very caring. For example, I found the traffic quite overwhelming when I first arrived. The owner Mohammed was super kind. He walked me around the neighbourhood just to get my body used to the environment. He also sent Mahmoud to go with me. Mahmoud was the most amazing. He showed me the city like a friend and even invited me to one of his friend’s wedding - what a treat! As I booked tours very last minute, he’s always around at late hours to answer my questions and liaise with people who don’t speak English. On my last day, I had troubles with my transfers. Mahmoud must have made more than 20 calls to help me find the right driver. It’s very comforting to come back to a place like this after a touristic day out. The kindness of the people is simply beyond words. Additional tips: to get around to Cairo, best to take taxi from an app called in drive. Much cheaper than Uber. The hotel is within walking distance to the Pyramid.

Swedennot a single thing!
Everything about our stay was amazingly smooth and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally helpful and cheerful. Ibtissam makes the most delicious beans for breakfast, and the reception staff (Mahmoud, two Ramys, Youssef and more) helped us whenever we needed their help. The room is new and clean (looked exactly as the picture). The beds are really comfortable. if there's something you don't like, just let the staff know and they would fix it for you. If you have special requests, also let them know. It is a small hotel and you feel seen and appreciated. Thank you!

The Staff is very friendly and helpful, it has a real family atmosphere. Hotel transfer to the airport is possible. And facultative programs are also possible in the organization of the hotel, ín very good prices for tourists. So we can only recommend it to everyone, we will definitely come back here next time

United KingdomWhere do I start? The first impression as I walked in was a wall of cigarette smoke. I know it is not the UK, and you have to understand other cultures, but they also need to understand what visitors might not appreciate. The hotel is located on a very busy road, so constant (24 hour) road noise and horns blaring. No sleep at all first night. Front steps look like they have been bomber, no good for anyone with luggage or mobility needs. There is NO view of the pyramids, despite what the photos show. See our photos for clarification. There was some work being done on the roof top "veranda" (please see pics), which required constant hammering. When we questioned it, we were told it would be finished within 1 hour. Then 2-3 hours, then "tomorrow", all the while, the hammering continued. There were loose nails laying around on the steps from works above. There was a small Reception area which was the only usable communal space, but it stunk of cigarettes. Staff always there with cigarettes going. We left after two nights, despite paying for four as it was so bad. Breakfast was a disgrace, again please look at pictures. No options, just what they bring you. You have to ask for anything else, which they seem happy to bring, but I didnt expect hot dogs, chips, bread and water as breakfast. Coffee, tea, jam and butter available on request we found. After several return visits.
It was close to the pyramids
