Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyNo wifi. Dog barking a lot at night.
Nice location, beautiful view on the lake and surrounding moutains. Simple but good food. Manager extremely kind and helpful (he dropped us a couple of times in Tunis town without charging us). Beautiful trip in the desert. It’s 10 minutes by car to Tunis

PolandThe dog in Mangrove followed our every step and he loves scaring flamingos away Also, the tents are built in such a way that the wind moves the walls to bump into the poles with huge strength, causing a lot of noise - we couldn't sleep at night. When it's windy, pick a tent close to the middle
Good food (paid separately) The host concise and the to-the-point Amazing location, beautiful views, flamingos and the stars. A trip to Wadi Hitan was organized by the host and was also great

United KingdomThe local campsite dog was up all night barking which made it difficult to sleep.
We loved the location on lake Qaroon and the edge of the desert. The food was great and staff were always helpful and friendly. The cabins are really well designed and comfortable and you have amazing views while lying in bed. Will definitely go back.

FranceThe price which was a little bit too high, for simple tents. i would recommend some simple improvements which would have been nice: some towels. and maybe a little table or chair in the tents as there is no space to put your belongings. same thing for the bathrooms when taking the shower... it is not easy to hang all the cloths on only 2 nails... the dogs who lived at the camp were cute and nice, but too noisy sometimes at night barking...
Amazing staff. great off-the-beaten track location. there is a very nice 6h tour (and afforable) by jeep into the desert to see great spots (beautiful "magic lake", famous local waterfall, drive into the sand and stones desert, visit of amazing valley of the whales). for another day escusion it is possible to do a little boat tour on the lake and see for exemple the great Tunis village for some beautiful pottery purchases. however more than 2 or 3 days would be too much to find something else to do so 2 full days are ideal in our opinion. Food was absolutly amazing for both dinner and breakfast. Lots of chilling cozy spots around the little camp with great peacefull views

Egypt- We stayed there in July, so there were a lot of insects (Flies, mosquitos and spiders).
- The place is so quiet and it's super easy to relax there. - Shared bathrooms were always clean. - The place is relatively far from any city lights, so the night there was marvelous and you can clearly see stars and meteors if the sky is clear enough. Overall it's a great place to escape from Cairo and spend a couple of days away from the modern life.

EgyptI liked everything!
I like everything… The room was amazing and the food as well! The owner of the Camp is completely an amazing guy and all his worker’s too. They helped us a lot in many things that we were asking and we really appreciate that help. They are kind and very hospitable people! May God bless this place! I was able to see the stars too by using their telescope! I had a lot of fun!

United KingdomSome tents have beds and some have mattresses on the ground so make sure you know which one you would like and book accordingly. But the tents are very nice and comfortable
The location id amazing to disconnect from busy city life and enjoy the beauty of the desert and oasis. I enjoyed talking walks around the area, the silence and the friendliness of Mohamed and other staff. Highly recommend

EgyptA scam business, showing the photo with wood cabin looking houses, but when I arrive there only seeing the very low end tent. I asked them for refund and they refuzed to do so. just waste the money. If I run a business, customer do not meet their expectation and want to cancel. Full refund will be issued because that is the right way to do business. they can just honestly show the photos of tent, but they show me the wood cabin houses. It is totally deceiving.
nothing i like.

GreeceWe booked a tent and visited the place two days before to see how it is. The tent was very basic, overpriced (55 USD!) and not suitable for us. We asked for a better room and they told us that there were not any available. We tried to cancel the booking because it would be not possible to sleep in the cold night in this tent but they didn't accept it. They simply kept our money! This is our experience with this place.
The location was good.

EgyptMangrove Camp in Fayoum surpassed all of my expectations. Arriving after midnight, I awoke to find myself in a stunning and secluded getaway. Mohammed, one of the property's owners, is absolutely lovely to chat with—easygoing and friendly. His insider's knowledge as a local provided wonderful suggestions for things to do around Fayoum. I had both breakfast and dinner on my two night stay there and found the food to be excellent and healthy. The location is so peaceful and beautiful that, on my first day, chose not to venture out of it, instead dedicating the day to relaxing and recovering from my travels. The energy that Mohammed and his partner have created at Mangrove is replenishing and what makes this place truly special. I will definitely be coming back next time in Egypt.

Our short stay here was the highlight of our trip. There is something very magical about this place! It is so very peaceful and quaint. The views from the rooftop where you can relax or eat are stunning. Watching the sunrise from there was well worth the early wake up. The staff were very helpful waiting up for us while we arrived late, and helped us return to Cairo with ease. I cannot recommend this place more, and truly wish we got to spend more time here. We will be back for sure!

EgyptGoogle maps location is misleading. We drove into the desert and our car was stuck. Turns out there are 2 mangrove camp locations. One is right one is not. Try to be sure before you move to avoid dying in the desert. :D Correct way is paved and strightforward, so don't worry.
A very different, adventurous weekend in Mangrove camp! Also not far away from Cairo and very affordable. I have always wanted to try camping and wow! I am so happy I did. I went with my spouse, slept in a tent on the floor. There was an option for a tent with beds for the same price bit we wanted to have the full experience. Tents are clean and white and you have the basics. A fan, a plug to charge your phone or to plug in a mosquito repellent that comes with the tent. Beautiful sightseeings nearby. We saw flamingos at the nearby park. And at night you can go to Tunis village. Also the breakfast is world-class simply. Delicious and generous quantities! Hosts are super friendly and helped us when we got lost on arrival. So happy! Thank you so much really. We will definitely come back.
