Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChinaHost Mohamed is very enthusiasm, sincere. He eager to provide the best sightseeing advice, showcasing excellent English proficiency. This makes communication with guests extremely smooth, enabling them to receive a lot of assistance. The family-run hotel gives a comfortable feeling, and the terrace offers a view of the Giza Pyramids.

United KingdomWiFi was slow but I bought an e sim so just swapped back and fourth
This was perfect for us. travelled from London with my wife and mum as an Eid present to them both. We booked all of our transfers and excursion with the hotel directly and it was perfect. We had an airport transfer to and from the airport and had the same driver and tour guide for all our activities. Via the hotel we booked: 1. Pyramids tour 2. Cairo city tour 3. Souk tour 4. Buggy/quad bike sunset tour 5. Alexandria tour We were constantly messaged during our activities to make sure we were satisfied and always offered cold water The hotel had a simple breakfast and was served on time and had a perfect view of the pyramids. I would like to thank Mohammed and his family for being so gracious and being excellent hosts. I highly recommend for anyone travelling from London who wants reassurance to feel safe and stay in a great location

United StatesFront of building can be tough to find for some taxis/transport as it’s on a side alley, but we only had one instance of that when we arrived from the airport the first time.
Incredible staff, fantastic location near the pyramids, great view of the Giza plateau from rooftop.

United KingdomNothing I can think of really!
The room was great, clean and big size. Bigger than any hotel family room I've been in. The staff were so friendly and always attentive to our needs. Breakfast on the rooftop was simple but amazing also, great views of the pyramids. Staff were very helpful with our luggage both on check-in and checkout. All round amazing experience!

United KingdomThe WIFI was not great.
The hotel is in very good location in the otherwise very crowded Giza. Close to the pyramids ticket office (2 minutes walk), has great view of the pyramids and sphinx from the terrace, very close to Pizza Hut, KFC and ATMs, abit hidden away so you don't get hassled by all the sales people which are really annoying otherwise, no camels and horses on the street therefore no smell. The room, bathroom, corridor everything is very clean and new, the aircon works, and lots of hot water. You'll have a small breakfast on the terrace (the smallest we got in Egypt), but it was okay. Staff and owner Mohamed is nice and helpful, the driver Ibrahim he provided for us to take us to Shaqqara and Dasher was excellent and a very calm driver which is rare in Cairo. I recommend The Life Pyramids Inn.

NetherlandsBreakfast is only served from 8 o'clock. Because we were picked up for our daily tour at 7 (which is common in Egypt), the staff kindly offered packed breakfast. Unfortunately, that was so poor that we only ate the bananas.
A very quiet place with a beautiful view of the pyramids. Our room was very comfortable and service was excellent.

United StatesI echo all the positive things mentioned by other reviewers: the owner and his family provided great hospitality. The bedding and towels were clean, the AC worked well, and the shower was hot. The view of the pyramids in the morning and at night is incredible from the rooftop terrace. We were happy to have enjoyed the Pyramids Sound and Light show for free, which, in our opinion, is not worth paying for. The house is close to the Pyramid Complex entrance, yet its distance from the main street shields all noises, ensuring a quiet night's sleep.

So clean, very kind, polite staffs and owner, everything I loved it. Sometimes crazy people outside shouted and shot fireworks in midnight. Don't worry there is no war in Egypt, kind of a peaceful place.

South AfricaThe owner Mohammed was great. Gave good service and advice for trips. Breakfast on the deck had an amazing view with the pyramids. The location is close to the pyramid entrance, but a little tucked away, so noise wasn't an issue. Will definitely recommend staying here, has all you need.

United StatesThe only thing I can think of was maybe the stairs could be a problem for some folks. However thats only if you get the top floor, where the best view is of course. They do have 1st floor rooms too.
A beautiful place, the interior is like a 5 star hotel and the standard of cleanliness also. The decor is real classy too. The rooftop view of the pyramids was amazing!! And I stayed in the best pyramid view room too so that was awesome. The owner and staff were so nice they even let me stay on the roof for a couple hours after checkout and stored my luggage while I went out around the Pyramids and shopping. They also offer great tour packages and guides at a reasonable price and helped me out a lot for free about information on the area. And breakfast while gazing at the pyramids felt like a dream...I stayed twice and would definitely go back.
