Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe property is not far from a busy road and one gets disturbed at night by the noise. The city does not sleep. The shower could do with a higher barrier or bigger shower screen, as most of the water ends on the bathroom floor when showering (the management is aware of this and working to make improvements).
I enjoyed my stay at Kemet. From the seamless airport pick (which is free is you stay 3 nights or more) in a very modern air-conditioned car, Kemet was a pleasant surprise. Once you step through their gates from the busy dusty Giza road, you feel removed from the business on the outside. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I was upgraded to a balcony room, which in all honesty, you don't need as the pyramid views from the roof terrace is second to none. The room has all tea and coffee facilities, bottled water, fridge, toiletries and the beds are very comfy. Breakfast is varied everyday and nice.

ItalyThe hotel has an amazing view of the pyramid from the terrace where they serve breakfast and from some rooms you could see the pyramid while laying in bed. The hotel is positioned in front of a very busy road so it is always a noisy, like all Cairo and Giza. So if you sleep lightly this could be a problem. It wasn't the case for us after walking all day and with the thick windows of our room. Our room was nice and clean, with a great wifi. Also the bathroom did not have any issue., having all we needed and in working order. Breakfast was always abundant and not disappointing. All the staff was always pleasant, spoke a great English and let us manage our stay without pushing any tour. Brilliant and Awesome!

IrelandWhat a wonderful sanctuary for anyone choosing to stay close to the pyramids yet away from the tourist traps! I had such a wonderful experience staying at Kemet Boutique. The staff could not have been more helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had a memorable stay. There was no pressure to book tours, taxis or excursions with them and they gave me honest advice that served me greatly. I did arrange my airport collection & dropoff via the Hotel & everything went very smoothly. The authentic Egyptian breakfast was delicious plentiful & had the best view! The neighbourhood is very local & not commercial at all so you get a real sense of Cairo living yet it's less than 15 mins walk (part of the experience is learning how to navigate crossing the roads in Cairo) or a quick Uber ride to the pyramids. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for some place safe, comfortable & affordable. Thank you to Ahmed & Shaimaa who worked at reception. They were so genuine and I really enjoyed our chats about Egyptian life and culture 🙏

United Arab EmiratesThe location was perfect! In addition to the cleanliness of the hotel, i truly appreciate the hospitality, professionalism and friendliness displayed by all the staff members (special shout out to Shaima) as it was remarkable and it felt super safe being here! They took care of every detail, be it the laundry or finding you the perfect tour in case you are struggling! The breakfast was the best part of the day- you cannot miss it with the perfect view of the pyramids.

NetherlandsThe location surrounding the hotel is not the tidiest but this is everywhere in Giza and Cairo and we knew beforehand and don't find this a big problem.
We were upgraded to a room with balcony view of the pyramids, what more could you want. The staff was very very friendly and helpful to us in answering questions, conversations and even sending postcards for us. The room has everything you might want from a room and was clean. Breakfast was very good and on the rooftop with view of the pyramids. Location is close to both entrances of the Giza plateau, within walking distance. Definitely recommend the hotel for a stay near the Pyramids.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I must say, the staff truly made all the difference. Their friendliness and helpfulness elevated the entire experience. The room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring. And let's talk about the rooftop view – absolutely stunning! Being able to directly gaze at the majestic pyramid added an extra layer of magic to my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for exceptional service and a memorable stay.

HungaryIf there was a downside, it may have been the surrounding area in general, but that's something you can't help much really. Despite the amazing view of the nearby pyramids, you can't help but notice the obvious signs of serious poverty and underdevelopment. Just need to be aware of what kind of environment you'll be exposed to there, a different world with it's own customs and atmosphere. Not a real negative, a valuable lesson to appreciate what you have, the people being kind to you, even more so. Cheers👍
The hotel staff went above and beyond, made us feel very welcome and special. Whatever our need was, they made it happen. Booked some tours, transportation as well, everything was neatly arranged. Our driver and guide were amazing, had tons of fun during the excursions. Mohammed and other Mohammed, thank you! Ali with his rooftop breakfast provided an excellent way to start the day. Omar and Ahmad as well as the young lady (would rather not attempt to write down her name😅) at the reception desk felt like long time friends after only a few days. Amazing people, outstanding hospitality. Plus the room was also very nice, a comfy space for relaxing after a full day of hiking and exploring, excellent view with the pyramids from the balcony too. Would go back in an instant. 👍

IrelandThe street and surrounding area can be intimidating as a non local but we used Uber to get around and it wasn't an issue. This is not any reflection of the hotel but just Giza in general.
Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 1 night but our stay was unforgettable. The staff were so welcoming and warm, especially Shayema who offered advice on dealing with street hagglers to try give us a heads up. Also, after returning from being out at dinner she came to our room and offered us a traditional Egyptian after dinner snack of sweet potato with a delicious spice for dipping it in (Dukkah I think). The room was spacious and had all we needed and the bed was huge too, we arrived early and were even offered breakfast which was so kind. Our flight was late in the afternoon and we were allowed check out late from the room to accomadate this. Not to mention the spectacular views from our bedroom balcony and on the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed a wide spread of delicious Egyptian and continental food for our breakfast. Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend!

ItalyWe stayed at Kemet for 4 nights. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The facility was clean and comfortable, we had a room with a direct view of the Pyramids. Breakfast was excellent and we could enjoy it on the terrace while admiring the Pyramids. The staff was really kind and they arranged for our transportation from the hotel to the airport for our return flight. We highly recommend it for your trip to Cairo if your plan is to explore the city and the surroundings during the day.

United KingdomThe room could do with a safe which the receptionist said would be fitted soon (the hotel is quite new), and a few more power points, preferably by the beds. The hotel is in a very broken up street with really tatty surroundings, but much of Giza appears to be like this, although at no time does the area feel unsafe. It is also quite near a busy main road that can be a little noisy and a sod to cross (Egpyt has very few pedestrian crossings so you have to just weave between the traffic - just do as the locals do!)
I liked this hotel very much. The premises were very well kept and the area that was within their ownership (the reception and top 3 floors) was clean and modern. Within 15 minutes walk of the pyramid gates (or a few minutes by taxi - and less than £1) it was in a great position for visiting them and the surrounding restaurants, as well as being able to clearly see the great pyramid from our room and from the roof terrace (where we had breakfast). All the reception staff we dealt with (4) were lovely and very helpful and all spoke excellent English. The breakfast staff were also very friendly. Our room was a very good size, had comfy beds and a good sized bathroom with a nice hot shower. The room had a kettle and tea and coffee and a fridge. Breakfast was very good and served early which was good for visiting sites further away. The wifi was strong and consistent. I would very much recommend this hotel (and remember it is in Giza not Gaza - believe it or not they have had several cancellations from (dumb) people thinking it was being invaded)!

Sri LankaRoad was noisy (stated in other reviews) & Giza is a dirty/rundown area, but this is common for cairo. Beds were a little hard.
The staff were exceptionally friendly. We did two of their (reasonably priced) tours which were great (best guide we had in Egypt).Room and breakfast were average, but the way the staff looked after you made this hotel one I would definitely recommend to friends (we never felt that they were doing thing 'for more money/tips' which unfortunately is how we felt everywhere else we stayed). Shaima was a great host!

United StatesThe location is perfect and close to the pyramid, room view is perfect you can see pyramid straight through your room balcony. What’a even better the staffs! Thanks to Omar and Shima, they helped us a lot! We arrived very late and looked for food to eat, Omar took us to a restaurant, without his help we would be hungry all night. The next day Shima is on her duty, she also showed her hospitality and help us a lot! They are the best people I met in Egypt and I would definitely recommend Kemet boutique hotel.
