Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy four-day stay at the hotel passed in a very pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly staff who were helpful at all times and the organization of excursions. Breakfast was very good, although it was the same thing every day. Rooms very large , large modern bathroom with huge shower, comfortable large beds. There is free Wi-Fi in every room, which sometimes works slowly. A great advantage was the balcony with a beautiful view of the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The hotel also has a swimming pool where you can swim and cool off after a day of sightseeing in the heat. The owner of the hotel and the staff do everything to make you feel like in family. Another plus of the hotel is the proximity to the pyramids and to the city. There is a small local shop under the hotel where you can buy the things you need, and it is open until 1am every day. I sincerely recommend staying at this hotel where you feel at home. I'll come back here for sure :-)

FranceThe biggest issue for me was the bed: a thin, rough cover, on top of a single non-fitted sheet, on a bare mattress. The sheet was also too small to be properly tucked under the mattress and easily came undone. Thankfully, I was alone in the two-person bed, so I folded the sheet over myself and folded the cover in half for the first night. Still, I was a bit cold. The staff did, however, give me more sheets and covers for free upon request. I would suggest thoroughly checking the bed as soon as you check in and sort the situation out well before going to bed. The second significant issue is the noise at night. Being in the heart of the "city that never sleeps", the sounds of people honking in traffic last all night. I found myself quickly getting used to it and practically wasn't bothered at all (it was even strangely relaxing), but I could see this being a deal breaker for some. The third, minor issue for me, was that the only good workspace (proper seating with a table at the appropriate height) in my room was the garden table and chairs on the balcony, where the cars are quite noisy and distracting. However, I could easily work on my bed, or in one of the lounges. Lastly, a colleague of mine was staying at this hotel and as far as my understanding goes, nearly got kicked out one day early in order to make room for a new guest. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it was quite distressing for my colleague. However, the situation was resolved and my colleague was not kicked out.
Most of all, the staff was professional and caring; they had competent English speakers on staff (which isn't a given in Egypt) and did their very best to help every step of the way. I was welcomed with a delicious strawberry juice and invited to take a moment to lounge on the rooftop with a view on the pyramids. The room and bathroom were very nice and very clean. The hotel takes payment by card. I did enjoy the breakfast (various breads, cheeses, jams, some deli meat and some decent instant coffee). The Wi-Fi was very good, I was able to make a long video call with few issues (there's a router in each room with the SSID and password of your personal network). The room had a balcony. There are at least three shared lounges that are quite nice: rooftop, floor with the rooms, reception.

United StatesThe location was bad. The area around the hotel was very poor. We could not go out and walk around. The streets were mud and there were piles of rubbish in the street. The pool was not open which was a disappointment for the children. The outside eating area was very dusty. The hotel location is very difficult to enter into Uber.
The room was very good. New, big, clean, everything worked. The view from the rooftop was nice. You can see the pyramids and GEM museum easily.

SloveniaAlthough breakfast was good it was never on time (7 am official and never before 7:30 am). At pool area some sun beds would be cool. Wi-Fi was not working well most of the time. Although location is good and close to pyramids, it is far from everything else. Neighborhood looks like a war zone. It is a bit spooky. But it was safe.
Room was big and we had balcony with pyramids view. Also from the room via two windows we could see pyramids. Roof top bar has a nice view and it is open air space with constant fresh wind. Breakfast was good. Swimming pool is small and clean. Stuff is very nice and kind. They tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Location was good if you want to be close to the great pyramids and new museum. It is also good for close by Quattro motorbike ride or horse riding. Hotel is very new (ca. 6 months).

United Kingdomno wifi unfortunately and the location there is limited shops, restaurants around so we just got a short Uber further to food places.
incredibly welcoming and friendly staff, I had my reservations about this place due to the lack of reviews but it did not disappoint, welcome drinks on arrival, modern spacious rooms with incredible view from the bed of the pyramids. great shower and bathroom. there was a pool too which we didn’t use. complimentary breakfast was a typical Egyptian breakfast which was fine and located on the rooftop. we stayed in 3 hotels in Cairo and this was the nicest inside. beds were comfy, air con worked well, tv, hairdryer, fridge. everything you needed for a comfy stay and much quieter than being in the city

OmanNothing really around it for dining options on foot. The Steigenberger was about 20 minutes away, which was fine. Showers go cold by the five minute mark unless you turn the water pressure lower.
Close to the pyramids, big comfy room, decent breakfast, helpful staff. Free welcome dinner on arrival. Amir was available in WhatsApp to answer my many questions, and he arranged a good tour of Saqqara for us custom made to be a half day tour.
