Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomImprovements needed to make it 5 star 1. Swimming pool to be open after 6pm - such a lovely sized pool so a shame that it's not getting used to its max. 2. Need more plug sockets as they're all being used by the lamps / fridge / tv 3. Needed a main room light - the only light provided was the lamps in the room We actually spoke about all of those things to the manager who said they're planning on updating those things in the near future - but even if it's not updated, the room is worth coming back to anyways
Lovely location and the back of the hotel's view of the nile is beautiful. Good price as I paid the same in Cairo for far less offered. Clean room and decent size. Good sturdy furniture. Breakfast served from 6am, which is so convenient. Also had a lovely buffet selection of food, including desserts. Staff were all really polite, friendly and helpful (5 star hotel service) - helped us arrange a driver to take us around the West Bank of luxor at last minute notice and my brother even asked them to fill some of their pastry desserts with custard!

RomaniaThe room - on the side with the street - was very noisy worth the traffic being how it is. Some front-end staff was less than friendly, at a point there were two employees but only one was helping customers and there was a line.
The garden me swimming pool were amazing. The location close to the Luxor Temple and on the Nile river is unbelievable. Great breakfast.

United StatesOur room was on the interior of the hotel,, so we couldn't see outside. The tub tiles were moldy and the towels thin.
The location is excellent. It is right on the Nile River and it was easy to get to all the major sights and restaurants. The grounds and pool are lovely. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and watching the sun set.

United KingdomNot so much I didn’t like but anyone going to Egypt, make sure your USD are not ripped (even a slight) or marked as the hotels won’t take it as the banks want fresh notes
I have stayed at this place before it was called iberotel about 25years ago, place still the same and great location for the sight seeing, breakfast/lunch/dinner fantastic.

GermanyThe rooms could be more spacious and a little more modern. Bathroom could also be a bit more clean. You cant ventilate the room, since the room is looking to the reception, but for that there is zero noise.
We like that we were well treated, breakfast and the pool were great. Reception was sometimes a bit misleading, but all in all it was a nice stay. Beautiful way to watch a sunset is on the swimming pool with a nice fruit cocktail!

United KingdomThe service generally was not good. Some staff seemed disinterested and occasionally obstructive and one was very rude and aggressive in his tone. It felt like clients had to fit in with the hotel and its staffs needs, rather than the hotel wanting to cater to clients needs. Having just come from a hotel that went out of its way to ensure that all its customer's needs and expectations were met , if not exceeded, sadly, it was a big contrast.
The location was wonderful the views brilliant. The food was also excellent and the grounds were well kept.

IrelandNot all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Those in the reception they’re nice but those working in the restaurants were not. They’re not approachable to everyone, maybe because of my skin color or I’m not from a Western country but I didn’t feel welcomed during the whole stay. Those people I spoked to in the restaurant, they’re not smiling, I don’t know if they’re having a bad day but it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
Nice room, comfy bed. Good amenities and the food was great!

United KingdomNothing. By being a centrally-located city hotel, though, if you don't choose a Nile facing room, you should of course expect some street noise- just like in any city in the world!
The staff were outstanding- their welcoming and friendly manner was genuine. The reception staff and Aly the luggage attendant were especially commendable, and the pool staff were also absolutely charming- they all make you feel very comfortable indeed. The location is great, and the floating swimming pool terrace and bar was hard to leave! I only had the buffet meals, but they had a wide range of very good food, and I felt confident to eat the lovely salads etc and other well-prepared, uncooked food,too-in addition to the many cooked options The large bottle of water supplied free each day was a nice touch too.
