Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LibyaThe view is uncomfortable. Noise at night.
The reception is excellent and helpful. The room was the same as we booked, and the facilities were excellent. The location is excellent, close to the city center and the streets have most services. The elevator is excellent and working, and the hotel is on the ninth floor.

United Kingdomthe entrance to the to the hotel on the ground floor is a little run down but not such a big issue after I got used to.
Excellent location within a few minutes walk to the Egyptian Museum. I was a little concerned when I arrived at the hotel as on the ground floor was a little bit runs down but as soon as I was on the 9th floor where the hotel is I was surprised to how nice and clean was. Breakfast was very good, as I have to checked-out very early in the staff even prepare the breakfast pack for me. Excellent job and I thank you for that.

United KingdomSupposedly the rooms were soundproofed - the noise of car horns etc was a little dulled but you could still hear then. This didn't really bother me, but what did keep me awake was hearing other guests talking loudly until 2am (then starting to talk again at 3am!) - it was so loud, I could hear every word in my room and it went on for hours from 11pm. I think breakfast can be very easily improved - it was basically a plate of raw vegetables and my "scrambled" eggs were not mixed/whisked before cooking so the eggs were a sea of white lumps (served with a heap of untoasted white bread and out of the packet pancakes). I didn't have time for breakfast on my second morning because I left early, but I would have skipped it in any case and gone to a bakery.
Spotlessly clean and brand new hotel. The location is fantastic - walking distant to the best restaurants in downtown. The reception staff and doormen were great. The rooms (I stayed in two different ones) were comfy and had strong water pressure with hot water 24/7.

United KingdomThe location is a very central and maybe not for everyone. But you do get the huse and bustle of the city and can get local prices instead of tourist prices at little roadside shops and cafes. Their restaurant breakfast is good. Lunch and dinner menus a bit limited but they can order in if you would like something they don’t have. Drinks a bit expensive for a budget hotel, but then again they give a free bottle of water every morning.
The hotel is brand new and well decorated. Very neat and clean. Fantastic view from the balcony restaurant area where we are breakfast every morning. Breakfast was good especially the fruit and pancakes! Staff went above and beyond and made our stay so pleasant. Helped us with everything from excursions to here to buys some baked goods and other suggestions nothing we asked was too much effort. They even ordered pizzas from outside for us as it wasn’t on their menu.

ChinaThe hotel's elevator is shared with other businesses on different floors and is quite old. It doesn't detect people well, and we got caught twice. So, remember to keep pressing the open button until everyone and all luggage are safely out. In the early morning and evening, there are loud chants coming from the balcony, possibly from the nearby mosque? It didn't bother us; instead, it added to the Egyptian ambiance. However, I'm mentioning this to advise those who are light sleepers to request a quieter room from the hotel staff.
The hotel is in a great location, close to the Egyptian Museum and the Go Bus station. The surrounding streets are bustling from morning till night. You can buy cheap water and drinks at the newsstand downstairs. The hotel service is excellent, the breakfast is plentiful, both of us from China found it very tasty.

VietnamThere’s only 1 small dustbin in the toilet. One more dustbin in the room is better.
This Hotel located in the centre of downtown Cairo which is very easy to walk around for food & drinks (only 400m far from the Drinkies shop - which provides Stella beer, etc.) There’s a nice staff take care of us on the ground and guide to the reception in 10th floor. Other staff (reception, restaurant) are so nice, friendly and kind, who can help anything you need.

United KingdomNone. I did feedback that tour itineraries should be updated to take into account Ramadan timings. This feedback was taken on board.
It has everything you need. The staff are very friendly and ready to assist. The kitchen staff especially were good with making me boiled eggs. Breakfast options were good and is provided via packed containers on days of early tour starts. Raemon and Myval were excellent tour guides, very knowledgeable in their history of Egypt. The taxi drivers were professional. Taha communicated well via email to organise the tours and to meet my various demands/preferences as a solo female traveller. Entering Cairo as a start point can be overwhelming, but the hotel staff make you feel at ease.

This hotel is a little treasure in Cairo. After being in the busy streets it is amazing to arrive here. The staff is so friendly!! It was my favorite stay in Egypt. The hotel has a nice relaxed vibe and a great rooftop. The room was great, everything was new and clean. I had an early check out and missed breakfast, first they offered me breakfast upon arrival which I didn't take and later they brought me fruit in the middle of the night right before check-out. It feels amazing to stay in a place where the people really care about you. Thank you Alex and your colleague from the night shift. You both were amazing!
