How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The elevator had some cleaning maintenance that caused a strong chemical odor which we could smell in our bathroom but by the morning the scent was less.
The property was clean and had a nice view of the ocean. The kitchen was stocked with what you needed. The beds had clean sheets and also comfortable with functioning air conditioning. The front desk staff was very helpful and attentive as well.

Very nice apartment, very large with a beautiful view on the sea, the staff was very welcoming and helpful, they made our stay in this magnificent city of mersa Matrouh very pleasant. If I come back one day to mersa Matrouh, I will stay without hesitation in this place that I highly recommend.

the location is perfect! it is a 5 min drive to Souq Libya and a 5 min walk to Gelaty Azza and you can easily have a walk along the Corniche that you see from the apartment balcony. Hesham at he front desk is great, super helpful and very nice.

Hala Matrouh Premium is one of the most distinctive and comfortable places to stay in Matrouh because it is clean and organized. The rooms have air conditioning, in addition to the beds being very comfortable and clean. It is located in a lively area with many restaurants and services. The customer service there is very special, especially Mr. Hisham. He is a helpful person and solves any problem immediately. If you want to enjoy your stay in a special way, book with Hala Matrouh Premium." just one minor and only comment , if you can change the shower to movable shower , it will be great .
very nice and clean place. I think the best in Matrouh. I got a couple of two bed room apartments, both with sea side-view. very clean apartments. very clean hotelish sheets, all bed rooms with air conditioners. location is perfect, the neighborhood is a bit crowded but still very nice place. Masjid is nearby and beaches are less than 1 minute walk from the facility. a nearby garage is available , you can park there for like 50 or 60 EGPs per day. On top of all this , very nice and friendly staff. I wish I could stay there for longer. Mr Mohamed Al Taweel ,Mr.Hisham are super nice, special thanks to both of them. I do not recall the name out other staff members but I'd like to thank them all

Apartment was clean. Location is second row to the beach. It is in the middle of everything. Supermarkets are next door. Freez cold Ac in each room. Living room has a nice fan. Balcony is a good size where you can have breakfast or dinner.

The room was not very clean at the check in, but then the housekeeping did deep cleaning on the same day!

Only thing that can improve is that the Wifi did not reach us on the 6th story, it worked in the lobby. It was totally fine for us though since we had Vodafone internet from our phone sim cards and it had a strong signal in the area.
My family and I had a great stay here! It was right next to the beach in a safe and very convenient location. We were right next to the beautiful Sidi El-Awwam mosque. Our location was also right next to an amazing circus which we truly enjoyed, I would highly recommend going there. There was also a small carnival to the right of us. Fathallah supermarket and restaurants like KFC, McDonalds etc were all walking distance. The people in Mersa Matrouh are very kind, they don't try to scam you, and they enjoy having foreigners visit, which I really appreciated since my friend is Filipino and he felt the most comfortable and happy here compared to Cairo. Our apartment was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the A/C in every room worked well. We were on the 6th floor which had a great view of the ocean. The hotel also connected us with a driver that took us to the nice beaches, ask them for recommendations on beaches and if you need a driver. Definitely recommend!

The noise in the evening. The cafes in the street play music in the middle of the night very loudly. It was very disturbing. We had no sleep the first night. Thanks to Hesham, he talked with them, and the next night was better.
The stuff, especially Hesham. He was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean, and it's in a good location in Matrouh.
