Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomProperty advertised a bar, and there wasn’t one. The area isn’t the nicest.
The pyramid view was second to none. The terrace overlooking the golf course was really nice. Room was clean, bed was firm but comfortable, air conditioning was essential and worked well, bathroom was spacious and shower was nice. Hotel organised two full days of tours. Good driver and guide.

AustraliaNothing. For a real Cairo experience, away from all the tourists and big hotels, it was pretty awesome. And very affordable for a place with such gorgeous views. Only suggestions would be easier access to drinking or bottled water and extra toilet paper without having to call. Having said that, every time we called, they were quick to deliver whatever we wanted. Love this place and the people who run it.
Amazing views of pyramid on the balcony straight out our door. Fantastic family run hotel where all staff and the owners were so incredibly helpful that it made our stay in Cairo one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. They literally, could not do enough for us and were always ready to help, from getting us transport, to changing money and even just getting extra water and towels for the room. I’ve been to Cairo before and stayed in a big name hotel, but this was so much better. Beautiful people, sensational views and fantastic service. Ditch the big hotels and stay at this small family owned hotel, you won’t be sorry! We love the people who own and run the hotel and had a fantastic and fun stay with them.

GermanyThere’s nothing I didn’t like
1. Sleeping next to The Great Pyramid, the only Wonder that still exists, stood as the world's tallest human-made structure for nearly 4,000 years. That’s a tremendous privilege. 2. Available and helpful stuff all the time. NOTE: This is a very good hotel, but as it is a family run business, you should not look for a corporate hotel layout. Plan your days/trips and don't think about the rest. Uber might be slightly cheaper then their drivers but they provide english speaking, kind drivers so the price worths it. you should also remember that you are travelling to a middle eastern country. Never compare the streets, traffic and buildings with Europe. try to have a real tourist experience to avoid disappointment, i.e. get out of your comfort zone and experience this culture without prejudice.

BulgariaThe wifi was spotty and difficult to use in the room. No fridge or table in the room. The hotel was right next to the pyramids and within walking of the entrance. Unfortunately, this is not the best area of Giza.
The staff was very helpful. They helped us arrange a tour and a pickup from the airport, both at reasonable prices. They were quick to respond to questions, inquired after how the tour had gone, and were generally attentive. The room was very clean

United KingdomOn the Booking.Com website the hotel boasted of a bar, restaurant, mini bar and a fridge in the room, None of which is the case. If you want alchohol then you need to buy it from a local shop the staff will help you to find it. If you want to eat on the terrace at night then you have to order on line and it will be delivered to the hotel ( I didn't try it). This hotel is essentially a B&B. But if you know that then its fine there are lots of retaraunts nearby including the Marriott which isn't expensive.
Location couldn't have been better the terrace is around 400M from the great pyramid. The staff were very helpful and communicative. The breakfast was very good. Price was very competitive. The photos from the terrace are accurate.

This hotel is a real gem in Giza, with wonderful view of the Great Pyramid of Keops. Knowing our 20th anniversary the young hotel manager Mr.Sayed promised a double room with a wonderful view with a message “you will get more than you expected”. And he really kept his promise, the view from our room was breathtaking. Even from the bed, we had an unreal view of the Pyramid during day and night. You’ll have a separate bathroom just 3 meters away from your room, but it’s a tiny price to suffer compared with the view you get. Two young ladies prepare freshmade breakfast and you enjoy your meal at the terrace with the same breathtaking view. Mr.Sayed is the most helpful host on earth and the hotel is the best value for money in Giza.

United KingdomAll good
We had an excellent stay at Glamour Pyramids Hotel. From our arrival to Cairo Airport to checkout, Ziad went above and beyond to help us in any way he could. He was able to arrange a car to pick us up from the airport, and even ensured we got a hot meal on arrival despite it being midnight. He arranged a private car for us for the day; he basically helped us out whenever we needed it. The location of the hotel is right at the foot of the pyramids, with beautiful views from the room and terrace. It’s quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for the lovely stay!
