Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomnothing!
A very peaceful and beautiful place. Amany is the best host - a calm, warm and helpful presence. Close enough to the main town (we walked once and it was about 20 mins) but you can get to anywhere for a cheap price in a tuk tuk. The desert safari was incredible! we opted for a private one with dinner and it did not disappoint - so much fun with incredible stars and Amany booked us the best chef in town who cooks the food under the sand. Would recommend!

AustraliaThe staff were super friendly and helpful. They ordered our bus tickets that we had problems with ourselves. They gave us a free ride to downtown. Honestly all of them are such welcoming and nice staff. The breakfast included was huge and outstanding. And also there were so many cute animals all around us like dogs, cats and a turtle. 1 dog even gave birth to the cutest puppies while we were there so if you want a cuddle puddle with some new born puppies, this is the place to be. We were so relaxed and the accomodation is the most beautiful I have seen in all of egypt. The photos do not lie!!!

EgyptThe staff is EXTREMELY friendly!! They helped us organize tours, gave great recommendations, and made our overall experience better. They really cared about our experiences and went beyond expectations (walked us to a restaurant, helped us find transportation, checked on us, offered us to do late check-out without extra costs).

United KingdomThe hotel itself is really cute and makes you feel at home. Breakfast is really good and includes wifi. Best of all the staff. Amany, the host, is a fantastic woman that helped me with all my tours. Youssif showed me around one of the days and he was amazing as well. If you come to Siwa you have to stay here, 100% recommended.

EgyptWe were so lucky to end up staying at the Seilyaa Siwa Inn. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was yummy (we especially loved the whipped feta!), but what made the visit so special was how Amany went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible. She helped us see parts of Siwa we would have never seen otherwise, arranged for us to try arts and crafts with local experts, and helped organize fantastic daytrips around the area. She was always available if we had any questions and would check in to make sure all was going smoothly. We felt so taken care of and can't wait to return on our next trip to Egypt. Anyone would be so lucky to stay at Siwa Inn during their visit to the oasis -- truly one of the best hotel experiences we've had!

NorwayThe vibe at the hotel is super chill! They have plenty of nice areas to relax - both in the sun and in the shade. The staff were super kind and helped us arrange a cheap and fun desert trip, and they also had other good suggestions for places to visit while there. On our last evening the staff also made a campfire for us to enjoy in the lounging area. Truly recommend this place!

PhilippinesIt is far from the city center and it is hard to get a ride.Going to the hotel from the city was always a struggle as tuktuk drivers didnt speak english and even if I showed them the hotel name and photos they still wouldnt know where it was.Id always dial the hotel and have the driver talk to them.Going to the city from the hotel was harder as there are few tuktuks that would pass by.For the first time in years i occupied my room without being checked in because there was no one at the reception. THERE was a guy who I think was a care taker but not in charge of checking in guests. He wanted to keep my passport and he would just placed it on the desk unattended. The guy in the afternoon of march 7 didnt help me hail a tuktuk. He just ignored me.There was no hot water in the shower and it is cold in march. The water would also suddenly stop
It is quiet.

United StatesI was absolutely devoured by mosquitos all throughout the night. You’d think there was a spawn point in the room. Also, there is no path from the bathroom to the rooms so your feet are forever dirty
The bungalow room was so cute and cozy and the staff was extremely friendly. Wifi was strong, lighting was nice.

The place is in a good location. It has the basics for one-two days in Siwa. Breakfast is ok, and service is ok. Big rooms and air conditioner works perfect. The information about the tour given to me from Amany was extremally helpful and honest. I really recommend her to contact her before coming to Siwa. Thanks a lot

EgyptI initially reserved a room through booking app because I wanted a private bathroom. When I arrived there, the receptionist told me there were no rooms left when I booked because they did not update the number of rooms on the system, although I made the booking more than a week in advance. Nobody called me to warn me of this, and she claimed there were very little places left in the town (it was a long weekend so many people came to visit) and it will be hard to find a different hotel at the time I arrived, which means I should take one of their empty tents, which is cheaper, and they will refund me the difference. I accept it, and I didn't like sharing the bathroom, and the fact that the shower was on the floor, which was concrete, so hard to clean and always wet from showers. The worse part was that the hotel offered to include me on a tour bus that will take me around. It was in good intention, but not well organized. On the first day, the tour did not include a lunch, and I stayed hungry the whole day. Apparently the Egyptians knew that there is no lunch offered so they kept snacking here and there, and I just kept waiting. And for dinner we had to wait for the restaurant to empty. And then I saw the tour organizers don't speak any English, so how come they work in tourism? I am vegetarian and nobody asked if I can eat normally, they just assumed and never inquired, and they took me to a restaurant that has everything (even the oven vegetables) cooked in animal broth. Then on the second day the tour took me to the Salt Lakes and when I wanted to step in the water, the edge broke with me and I scratched all over my legs and it was very painful in the salty water. There was no stairs or safer way to enter any of the lakes and the tour organizers did not care to warn me or any of the other participants where it would be safer to enter so that accidents like that would be avoided.
The accommodation was nice, the tent was beautiful, fresh Egyptian breakfast served very fast
