Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

My ranking goes as: 1- Staff was exceptional, felt like home and I didn’t wanna leave. 2- Countryside’s vibe, nature, sand, no fancy gadgets. I stay in a lot of 4-5 star hotels around the world for work and nothing compares on how comfortable I felt in this place while eating sitting on the cushions on the floor, chilling on the nets and cushions outside as well. 3- The hot spring of course it’s a huge plus, it’s hot for real, amazing to chill early morning and at night, I could literally stay there for hours. 4- The food, although very simple but very flavorful, good portion and value for it as well. What I ate for dinner literally tasted like my mom had cooked it. And to finish the owner has helped a lot with all the instructions on how to reach Siwa, providing pickup and drop off, and also recommending THE BEST TOUR GUIDE OF MY LIFE, Hakam <3 Thank you for everything, hope to see you all again soon :)

ItalyThe only thing I might point out: Diesel generators in the distance can be heard especially at night. I had no problem sleeping but that was the only thing that reminded me I was near civilization.
A small camp of tranquility, away from the chaos. A great starting point to explore the desert and the surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the architecture of the rooms and the feeling of being in a natural construction. Abdo and his staff were always within reach for any need, and were amazing at giving us pointers for where to go around there. I particularly enjoyed early mornings alone near the warm spring pool, as nature starts waking up around you. Simple great quality-food at Cafour. We took a stroll a couple of nights, just outside the camp, and saw magnificent stars??

GermanySuleiman was a strange guy.
This oasis of peace in the oasis of siwa is the perfect place to relax and experience a more rural area of Egypt. The always friendly personell, especially abdo and hacom do everything to help you feel well. From the activities in and around siwa which can be started perfectly organized from cafourhouse, to yoga, massages and other relaxing activities up to a great cold, warm and salt pool, cafourhouse offers everything your heart wants to experience vacation. I can also recommend to enjoy breakfast and dinner in the camp own restaurant. Great local cuisine meets high quality. For breakfast I recommend the foul, for diner the camel.

NetherlandsWe would have liked the use of more spices in the food for dinner, it was a bit bland for us.
Amazing place to stay. Very kind hosts (Abdo and his wife Nour). The place itself is like a little paradise, with a swimming pool and hot spring, and different sitting areas to relax, inside and outside. The room was very nice, decorated with care. Good value for money. They offer also various tours with great guides, so we enjoyed Siwa to its fullest. It’s a bit further away from the city, but it’s easy and cheap to get a Tuktuk. The breakfast was good, with bread, egg, falafel, foul and a lovely kind of cheese/yoghurt dip. We would def recommmend to stay here.

HungaryI cannot tell a thing i did not like here :)
Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem. We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big doses, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:) The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds. The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding. It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try: I will definitely come back:) Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler ☀️

GermanyAbdo was an exceptional host. He helped all the guests so much to organize the activities and his positive energy really is contagious! The hostel feels more like a resort with lovely guests and even has a natural hot tub to relax in after a long day and watch the stars during the night! The breakfast and dinner were really authentic and super delicious. I was really sad to leave this magical place. (Go directly to cafour house and don't stay in the city! Abdo will organize a pickup from the nightbus and all the activities are really close from cafour house!)

GermanyWe were lacking towels in the room, which would have been a good addition. The food was good, though a bit repetative due to the limite menue. And a tea corner would be wonderful.
The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly and made the overall atmosphere wonderful. Communication was easy and smooth, very service oriented and absolutely trustworthy. The rooms were simple yet clean and comfortable. The hot spring is an absolute dream. All in all Cafour House is no luxory resort but wonderful in its simplicity and unbeatable value for money. A perfect getaway in the dream destinatino Siwa.

AustraliaMy best stay in Egypt so far! One of a kind place that’s unique atmospheres hosts a beautiful split between Egyptians and foreigners, super refreshing. It is an inviting place to socialise and meet people or to just do your own thing. The wifi is very solid in the dining main area. The breakfast is good, the tours offered are awesome, the prices for everything is even better… and the hosts and staff are amazing! I extended my stay two nights as I fell in love with this little oasis. Go here, you won’t regret it :)

CanadaIt would be nice if tea (or coffee) was included with breakfast - tea is such a cultural tradition in Egypt, so without it something is missing. :)
We very much enjoyed our stay at this camp. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, the camp has many areas set up to enjoy - you could sit under the trees, around the campfire, around the tables and chairs near a cold water pool, and you can also enjoy a natural hotspring pool located right on the property premises. The entire camp felt very peaceful and relaxing when tour groups were not visiting. The owner Abdo is a very easy-going person who speaks fluent English and his communication with is always prompt and pleasant. Abdo takes an excellent care of his guests, and has a variety of helpful contacts to arrange memorable trips around the area. What we especially appreciated was the owner's enthusiasm to see his guests happy - we ran into a situation on one of the tours, and Abdo went above and beyond to correct it, and he found a solution promptly. Thank you for the beautiful and memorable experience!

United StatesVery far from downtown so you are forced to ride tuk runs, they offer cheap prices but it's looked more like a retreat place which is good but different from my goals. They can order food for you but still there is nothing close to the hotel. Checkout was sort of hurried, because new people had arrived I was told they needed the room fast. I told them to give me 30 minutes which they respected. I went for one night and it was a quick trip. I would say probably 2 or 3 nights is better.
Breakfast was good, staff had drivers at hand with information of tours and stuff to do. Their hot pool is superb!!! Rooms are very nice and there is a fire at night to chillax!

IndiaThe best part about this camp is the people working there. Everyone, right from the manager, Abdul, to the tour guides and tuk-tuk drivers working there are extremely nice and help make your experience memorable. The camp is beautiful and the in-house hot spring is a great perk. Tours and food are very fairly priced and the environment is pretty social as well. Definitely recommend it if you're travelling solo or with friends! It's a bit of a distance from the city and the bus stop but they help arrange pretty economical pickups as well so not really an issue! They organise a lot of activities on the daily as well.
