When staying longer, it is not so nice to get a room with the window facing an active hallway. Kept my blinds down for the whole time which is not great.

On my last day the entrance code didn't work at one of the entrances, but luckily I could use another door.

Ohh I loved everything about it. It's like your own personal, safe cottage in Tallinn city center. I loved the fact that there was no cleaning included - I knew that the container was all mine. The breakfast was very tasty even for a vegan. The whole concept was very impressive.

There's no natural light in the containers so I think a stay of more than a couple of days might start to feel a bit dark. But for my purposes, it was fine.

Room was very clean and efficient. Bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom came with everything you need. The breakfast option was small but again, everything you need, including options for gluten free and vegan. The location was a short walk to the old town and felt safe even at night for a solo female traveller.

Nothing to dislike

The location - Hektor hotel is in Telliskivi quarter which has a very rich nightlife, good set of different restaurants, bars, live music, Forografiska and many more places to go. The old town is 15 minutes on foot when taken a lazy stroll or a zip by e-scooter. The concept - I was truly positively surprised by the concept of building a container room inside an old train depo. It’s well designed, considerate of the users and well signposted to find your container/room. The facilities and ambience - communal areas like lounge, kitchen, cafe. Working spaces. The colour scheme is black and white with some other tones thrown in to highlight the detail. I did not use the communal kitchen nor the cafe, so need to try them out the next time. The room - your room is a container that has been built into a room to include everything you’d find in a hotel room. Mine had a window to the internal courtyard and was so quiet that I slept in… nearly missed my flight. The neighbours- very quiet crowd sans one drunken/angry chap whose rant lasted about a minute and who was then brought to his senses.

It was adorable yet highly functional. Extremely clean, staff were amazing and I had such a good nights sleep on the comfortable bed. Plus, its location is amazing and right next to a big complex of food and goods.

Music outside the hotel was quite loud, might be an issue if your container is located close to that side of the building.

Smell of smoking coming in through the ventilation system from outside. It seemed to be a known issue they are trying to work on resolving. Then the breakfast was not really good value for money and limited options - you have to order in advance ideally as well which is less flexible but less food waste I suppose so good. But these were the only two minor points; I would stay there again.

The room was small but had everything you needed, very efficient and felt 'new'. Bed was very comfy, and you could blackout the window so really dark inside. Shower was good and again felt clean and efficient. Good value for money. Friendly staff, service was good (I asked for a different type of bedding and was no issue), and location for me was ideal as I was going for work and my office was nearby - there are a few trendy bars/restaurants nearby so helpful. It's also a fun novelty to stay in a container. Also no keys/cards - all via codes so very modern and self service is helpful.

Small detail but I really could have used a garbage bin in the room itself. Not just a tiny one in the WC.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. I was surprised how invited the ambiance was. Lots of places to sit, work, hangout. Breakfast was sooo good!! I was very impressed. I’m very happy I was able to leave my bag in a secure place while I took a trip to Helsinki for the weekend.

One of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed in! Such a unique experience. Sound proofing was actually really good. Guests were respectable in the late hours to stay quiet. Nice big tv, lovely shower, cosy big soft bed. Only thing is, of course it's a container, so floor space is a limited. Fine for solo travellers like me and couples. Location is in super trendy cool neighborhood. Great boutiques, a photo museum and artisans coffee shops and bakeries. Big supermarket across the road as well. Can't fault this place. Cheap to get here by taxi from airport as well. Staff were also super nice and helpful. Overall vibe of this place was just ✨️
