We utilized the Hotels ride service to and from the airport, which was on time and very convenient. Service at the hotel was excellent as was the daily breakfast. The Hotel was updated and very clean. Would definitely return to this hotel on another trip.

The room I was in was at the end of the hall and on the corner of the building. The view of the room was awesome but I wished the WiFi signal had been stronger.

The breakfast each morning was fresh and different each morning. The location was great because it was in the heart of Old Town. Next to the hotel was family stores that sold bottled water and etc which was very convenient.

Great location on a very quit street. Little shops and about 4 restaurants within 50 meters. Easy walk to Grande Plaza, breakfast changed every day with great views of Quito. We were picked up by Herran and dropped of at the airport.

I would recommend a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries and a bedside lamp

My room was small but comfortable with an en-suite bathroom. Hernan and Gloria were very welcoming hosts. I really enjoyed the walking tour with Hernan. He was also very tolerant of my extremely poor Spanish and encouraged me all the way. Hernan helped me to book a tour to the Middle of the World and I got a very good deal and a great tour as a result. He also helped me with the purchase of SIM card. He even came to my rescue when I got lost in town. He and Gloria couldn't have done more to make my stay a very enjoyable one. I felt very safe walking around Quito. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared for each person.

There was a power cut off for 2 days. Hernan did his best to help us and avoided any inconvenience

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Everything was good. Hotel is very clean and located in historical area. Hernan was very helpful. He picked up us from airport, and suggested a complimentary tour of the area the next day. Breakfast was delicious. Hernan helped us with getting a SIM card for internet. He suggested an agency for getting tours. We got a tour from agency for visiting the Galapagos Island.

The mattress was comfortable but there was a mattress protector that became clammy by the middle of the night.

The personalized attention and service from our hosts was exceptional. Hernan took us on guided tours for 2 days and his knowledge of local history and culture added a unique dimension to our visit.

Everything! The hosts are very nice and helpful, the rooms are cosy and clean, the location is perfect. The greatest advantage is that Hernán is a fantastic tour guide who knows the city very well and is passionate about sharing his knowledge. I strongly recommend a tour or more with him.

This hotel is not found on Google Maps which was worrying at first. However, any taxi will be able to get you to the street it is located on and then you just need to look at the building numbers to find it.

Hotel La Cierva de San Marcos is a small hotel located about a 6-minute walk from the Centro Historico. The location is quiet and there are plenty of food options in short walking distance. The owner is extremely nice and even greeted us by name when we first arrived. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and the shower is great. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Super friendly hosts in a great building in a great location in a quiet street in the historic old town. We were a family with two kids and really enjoyed our short stay in Quito and could have easily stayed longer. It is also a great base to explore further afield with sites close to Quito (Mindo, Cotopaxi etc…). There is lots to do in Quito for the kids (teleferiqo, climbing the cathedral towers, horse ride up in the mountains) plus plenty of stuff for the adults too, one unexpected highlight for us was was the Guayasim museum, but the whole old town area is lovely too with good food, don’t miss the chocolate ice cream and sweets at república de cacao. Hernan also picked us up from The airport and dropped us off for $25 each way, he also gives you a free tour of town to the cathedral shows you how the bus system works etc..

Very sweet staff, gave us some great tips for sightseeing and where to get a Ecuadorian SIM card. They also allowed is to refund part of our stay (we had to reschedule due to other circumstances) even though we officially had no right to. The room was clean, the shower was very nice as well and high enough for me (1.90m). Very nice view of the city too. Finally, they gave us an amazing breakfast with fresh fruits, scrambled eggs and a ham/cheese sandwich.

Great area of town. Safe, clean, beautiful view, great breakfast, amazing hosts! Hernan, who met us and took on a private free church tour is an amazing host! Dont miss his tour, even you are not into churches. He is very knowledgeable and will tell many stories! He really will try to make our stay perfect, helping with anything!
