Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesOne night was tremendously noisy. No one could remember a louder night in the history of the village. Also, no one was awake when I arrived at 2:30 PM...it took 75 minutes and some help to get in. Towels were not in the rooms...one had to pay a $10 deposit per towel. The first night I had no hot water.
The cabanas were clean, well set up, and the garden was very nice. The pool and hot tub were a hit, and the hot tub was, if anything, a bit too warm. When there are a number of guests there, things go very well. When it is nearly empty, then not so well. Internet was quite good.

CanadaToo close to night club and neighboring hostal. Cigarette smoke came into our room at night from there. Not enough blankets, cold at night. More seating in the room or on balcony would make it more comfortable.
The grounds are lovely. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Mattress was comfortable.

United StatesThe cabin we were lodging in had a stale smell most likely from the air not circulating. We quickly resolved it by opening it up and spraying some air freshner, other than that we found everything clean. Make sure to bring insect repellent.
Really spacious and cozy cabin. The pool, Jacuzzi. and lounge area were a nice touch. The hot water in the showers was a perfect temperature. The manager and attendees were great . I definitely recommend it and would stay again.
