This hotel is really beautiful. Comfortable beds, lot of communal space, including a dining room. The host was extremely helpful. I would stay again if I return to Santa Cruz.

The breakfasts were very basic. Choice of eggs, some fruit, beverage of choice.

The location is slightly off the beaten path, which is good; it's quiet. However, it's a short walk down to the main tourist street with restaurants and shops. I absolutely loved the architecture; the owners have done an amazing job with the stonework; it does really feel like a castle. The pool in the courtyard is very peaceful and enjoyable.

I truly cannot think of anything that I did not like

Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. The host is attentive and helpful and very friendly. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is very good and there are other things there like hammock and books and a Jacuzzi, etc..

Nothing, it was great.

Wow, what a place! It’s like a little castle, but way more comfortable. The pool was clean, warm, chlorine free, and a great way to relax after a day of exploring the islands. Hammocks and patio were great resources. We were so tired everyday, we never did get to try the hot tub but it was nice that they had one. We totally underestimated how much time we should spend in the Galapagos, at least 5 days would have been smarter. I expect I’ll be back!

La Fortaleza is an awesome stay for when you're in Puerto Ayora. Gianna was so welcoming and showed us all the top spots to see! Breakfast was awesome and the hotel itself is the most unique I've ever seen.

Super cute, small hotel with awesome rooms. The owner was extremely friendly and spoke good English. We booked a tower room and were impressed on the level of detail the rooms were designed. A little bit outside from the habour road but still easily walking distance. Definitely worth a stay.

The location was right next to a nature preserve, so it was peacfully quiet with only the waves of the ocean and birds making noise. The hotel was gorgeous and rustic. The owners were exceptionally friendly, and truly cared for the wellbeing of their guests like family. La Fortaleza de Haro is the epitome of what hotels should be on a holiday get away.

Quirky place with lovely owners. Great pool and the breakfasts are amazing! It's on the edge of town so it's quiet but only a short walk to all the restaurants and facilities.

As discussed with Gianna, it would be nice to have somewhere to hang wet clothing seeing as most days are spent at the beach or in the water.

La Fortaleza Do Haro is a family owned BnB located off the main road, next to a natural area, in the shape of a castle, with a pool, sun deck, outdoor shower, hammocks and offers breakfast which you share with thee local birds that sit on your plate if you let them. The area is well serviced by taxis, although it's easy to walk to all main attractions. Gianna and Roberto live on the property and are always on hand to assist with information and ideas. Roberto owns the only glass bottomed boat in Santa Cruz and runs tours to snorkeling spots and other attractions, twice a day at discounted prices if you stay on the property.

The room was a little small but I expected that from the pictures. We stayed in a room with two twin beds.

The property was very unique! The pool area was perfect with loungers and a table. There were games and hammock on the second level lounge. Breakfast was good.

Bear in mind it's a bit of a walk to town. Fine for us. Breakfast OK, not keen on the coffee !

Gianni helped us plan our days and organise trips which made it easier not to waste time. The pool was also welcome release after long days out. If you stray try and get lunch at the park kiosk for 5 USD was excellent.
