It’s definitely a bit too expensive but also so is everything else in Denmark… I would still recommend a stay. We had a very good time! Also. This didn’t really bother me but the shower is a bit small and under a sloped ceiling so if you are tall you may find it a bit uncomfortable (room 405)

Location is great and the room that we got was very spacious and lovely - we loved the old school vibes! The bed was super comfy with fluffy pillows and warm covers. I appreciated the option to open windows and the blinds as I like to sleep in the dark. Breakfast didn’t have tons of options but all the staples were available; eggs, sausage, bacon, rolls + yoghurt and cereal and fresh fruit. No fresh juice but bottled drinks in several flavors were pretty good!

people walking in the garden outside the building since early morning--> noise. Also it is impossible to sleep or just stay in the room without curtains as people in the garden would see everything inside. That makes the room a bit dark and you are not able to admire the view

Absolutely fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was cosy, clean, beautifully styled (rustic). Breakfast in a separate building, but just across the small, stunning street and the food was tasty. Nice and quiet area for a short walk.

Breakfast was very good the first day but the next morning, lots of goods were already almost empty , even at 9 in the morning. Some rooms are very small, (good photographic perspective in presentation online but not accurate)

Very friendly staff/team with a good sence for service. The hotel and surroundings and villages nearby are characteristic/romantic. First evening we had a diner in the hotel restaurant which was very tasty. Within 45 minutes you can be at the insel Romo and take the ferry to Sylt for example.

The breakfast was sadly awful, very limited choice, no bacon, only scrambled eggs and tiny sausages, thimbles of yoghurt, tiny glasses for muesli, not much in the way of spreads/cheese/jam/fruit, no rolls, one type of bread and, truly inexcusable, not enough of even what there was for the number of guests staying in the Kro. Don’t be late for breakfast! It caused some consternation when I politely requested a bowl to eat my muesli from. Very unusual for a Danish Kro, which usually provide superb breakfasts, and the only (recurring) disappointment of an otherwise excellent stay. If the breakfast had been better, this would have been a 10.

Fantastically picturesque Kro in Chocolate Box village full of cottages with roses around the door, cobbled street, thatched farms and lovely countryside. Castle at one end of the village, church at the other. Kro authentic old inn (late 18th century?) decorated in light and airy period Danish style. Delightful. Surrounding cottages used for accommodation: recently renovated, Late 18th century appearance with all mod cons and spotlessly clean. Very well appointed. Bathroom luxurious. The whole thing was like staying in a Danish version of Jane Austen. The a la carte dinner in the Kro was excellent, and the restaurant staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We also has a small private garden enclosed by hedges outside our room. Lovely. Nice a quiet.

the breakfast was excellent but maybe think about adding a few more kids friendly things to the buffet. However our kids were offered hot chocolate every morning, which they enjoyed!

we stayed in the apartment which was fully renovated and top modern, spacious and super cosy! perfect for a family!

We have some critical observations though: the iron had been broken at the tip. The room still stinks of paint, which bothered us. The wire/power cord of the electric waterboiler is far too short to reach the wall outlet. We had to put it on the floor i.s.o. the table. The toilet seat had loosened, in the middle of the night we tightened the screws. That’s not what we want to pay 200 euro for. The building is very noisy: we could hear our neighbors locking their rooms with the doorkey, in the night we could hear people coming home over the corridor and the stairs, there was very loud talking. We don’t think we would recommend this place to our friends and family, unless you make an effort to improve the points mentioned.

Special and quiet location. Nice room with a beautiful view over the garden. Nice fluffy towels, smooth bed sheets. When we asked for a ironing board and iron, it was brought to us immediately: very good service.
